Authors Note: This fic came about from various thoughts that sort of came together. Personally I had been experiencing headaches on a daily basis, and was worried for the worst, during the time of waiting to get into the doctor, the fear of the unknown was tearing me up. After going to the doctor my headaches were nothing serious, just allergies which have been treated. I feared the worst, naturally. One night while pondering what was wrong the episode of Leverage 'The Snow Job' was on, in which Parker acts like she has a brain tumor. I took a twist on it.

I am posting this story in memory of my 2nd cousin, Scott Long who passed away on 8-28-10 from a brain tumor/cancer.

Disclaimer: I don't not own Leverage or any of the characters, I just use them with my imagination to create stories.

She had been here before, but not like this. The last time she was here it was on a job, she had no fear when the neurologist spoke the results, after all, they were 'supposed' to find something. The reports of headaches were all part of the con. But not now, now as she laid on the small uncomfortable table 'what if' kept running through her head.

Over the past few months the headaches had became part of life, they were never bad enough to interfere with a job, they were just 'there' and had became routine. She never told anyone, she was afraid of what they would do. She didn't like doctors, too many memories of ER visits as a child. It was only a few hours ago that they had even suspected a problem.

(Flashback to earlier in the day)

The headache was worse this morning, and wasn't going away. Eliot was the first to notice.

"Parker, what's wrong? You're not..you."

"I'm just tired." She had lied

Although it wasn't a total lie. The room had been spinning this morning and it did make her tired. She tried to mask it and stand up but that was when the charade was over.

(Current time)

The next thing she knew she awoke in a small room on this small uncomfortable bed with the nurse at her side. She felt fear and she felt lost, she knew no one, this brought back too many memories.

"Don't worry dear this won't take long, you will go into the tube for a few moments, we will take a few pictures, the we will get you back to a room and see if we can get you some medicine for the pain." The nurse, nice enough, explained. It didn't help, she didn't know her, she didn't trust her.

"I don't do drugs" She responded. Pills affected her, made her sleepy, she didn't like not knowing what was going on.

"These aren't drugs, dear, it's just medicine to help with the pain."

She laid there silent as she felt the table begin to move. She took a deep breath as she entered the chamber afraid of what she would hear when she came out.
