Authors Note: I wrote this actually quite a while before I turned 16, but it's all still true, and I did just turn 16, so I figured it was time to post this. Oh, by the way, is stealing the spaces at the beginning of lines last time I checked, so if you know how to fix that, drop me a line! Review, or my e-mail's on my profile.
Disclaimer: Don't own 'em. Wish I did, but slavery's been abolished for while, hasn't it? ;)
Sweet sixteen and never been kissed,
but I've done so much more.
I've done things no other I know has.
With people others do not know of,
do not love as I do.
I have walked through tunnels,
made of stone,
heard the song of the pipes,
the roar of far-off trains,
and the lullaby of a soft voice
reading ancient words.
I have seen a waterfall
surrounded by stone,
and a garden of crystals.
I have felt velvet and gravel
trailing across my skin,
more welcome than any silk.
I have heard the howl of the wind,
felt the rain on my skin,
as lightning crashes overhead.
I have helped make candles and food,
watched both children and pipes,
and protected my loved ones.
I have tasted love and fear,
justice and hatred.
I have seen with my own eyes
the lives of many,
through their stories and tales.
But of all the things I have seen,
there is one
I cherish above all.
The sight of two people,
ones you probably know,
each meant for the other.
You can see it.
It's as clear as the sun
in the sky
on a clear day,
plain as the nose on your face,
the love they share.
It fills the air around them-
you can see it,
smell it,
feel it.
It's a warm glow,
roses and comfort,
a warm blanket,
soft and golden,
moving across your skin.
It's their love-
a love that never has been found before,
and its like will never be seen again.
Romeo and Juliet,
Antony and Cleopatra,
Arthur and Guinevere,
had nothing on this.
Their love will be eternal,
out live all others.
Vincent and Catherine.
Reviews are more than welcome, as always.
