"Rena? Didn't Father give you that amulet?" I stood next to my twin sister. "Yeah, he said we should use it to gain access to different parts of the city, and if anything like his happened, to find Torn." Rena put her head down. Her long blonde hair drooped on her back. She wore a red head band, a red scarf, and blue gauntlets. Her green eyes glowed with fear. I had the same attributes, only I had a blue scarf and head band.

"This war has been going on for two years now, and Torn is nowhere to be found. I think he may be…" I cut off. "Maybe Sig is still around; he always helped us in hard times. Maybe we can escape to the wasteland." I continued. Rena sighed, "We can't leave our city, sister."

"If we lose this last fight, we cannot continue. We must fight Rein!" Rena turned to me. "I can have the guards escort us to the Headquarters…" She was cut off, "No, we can't! Remember what Daxter said!" I looked down. "These creatures are after us, if we come out of hiding, they'll take us! Do you want to go back!?" I wept. "Daxter warned us. They want our ability to channel Eco. They'll…they'll do it again…" I began to cry, remembering.

Flashback

"We have the girls, Master." A small creature informed a larger beast. "Bring them in; I'd like to examine them." It said. We were taken into the room with the bluish colored creature. It stood above us, towering to a good 7 or 8 feet. Its snout bent forward, but upward a bit. Its eyes were pure white, but burned with hate for humans. I stared into those blazing orbs until he touched Rena. I tried to speak, but found nothing. He looked her over. "Perfect" Was all he said, before giving us a strange liquid. Rena and I tried to resist, but the creature was muscular and easily got its way. I felt like sleeping, but I blacked out before I could even close my eyes. A stinging pain woke me up as a blade cut into my abdomen. I could hear Rena on the table next to me.

"Rena!" I called to her, finding a small amount of energy to say her name. She moaned. They were trying to get something…I don't know what though. Some sort of machine came close to us. It pumped a large amount of all six Ecos into our wounds. They wanted to see how our bodies reacted, I concluded. A blinding light interrupted my thoughts. I saw Father, Mar, come into the room. He'd come to save us. I couldn't hear what he said, but he killed the creatures and took us back home and a woman named Keira bandaged our wounds. We were 11 then.

Flashback End

"I know you remember." I said to her. "Please don't cry." Rena said as she whipped a tear from my cheek. I looked at the now clean waters of the port, which reflected the air born fights. "We need to at least find someone to help us." We pulled a guard into the alley.

"We need to get to Freedom HQ." I showed my amulet. We laid low in the blue Hellcat Cruiser and entered the building. We went up the elevator and saw Keira. "Keira! We knew we'd find you here! We need to find Torn." I turned to her and saw her eyes were low. "You didn't hear? Torn was taken by them." She looked up. I nearly cried again. "What? That can't be, he's our only hope in this war!" Rena cried.

"Apparently they know that, that's why they took him. He may not be alive." Keira looked away. We cried, for Torn was all we had, and now were lost him…and the war.
