"Mom, why do we have to move? I've lived in Jersey since I was a baby. Jersey isn't my home, it's my life." I whined to her mother. "Don't make me move."

"I'm sorry but with your father and I getting divorced, I don't have enough money to stay in Jersey." My mom told me.

"OK, whatever." I sighed and then sat down in my seat on the plane.

I knew I had a long flight ahead of my, so I decided to take a nap. I slept almost the entire way. By the time I woke up, we were already flying over Utah. I figured we had about an hour until we landed in L.A., so I sat up and pulled out my notebook. I started to write a letter to my best friend back in New Jersey.

Dear Kayla,

I can't believe my mom is doing this to me. I really don't want to move. We're on the plane right now, flying over Utah, but by the time you get this, I'll already be settled into my new house. This totally sucks:[ I never wanted to move in the first place and she's just dragging me to Cali. Do you mind telling my brother I love him next time you see him. Jake not Mark. Hah: but anyways I gotta go… I think were about to land: xox 3

Katelyn:

"We're almost in LA. We should be landing in about 15 minutes." My mom said to me.

"OK." I said back as I slid my notebook into my backpack. I grabbed my purse and my backpack and sat them in my lap. I sat up my seat and cleaned up my "area". Before I knew it, a voice came on the intercom.

"We are now entering Los Angelas Airport, be prepared for landing. I repeat, be prepared for landing."

I sat up and looked out the window. We slowly came to the ground and the doors opened. My mom and I stood up and walked off the plane. I walked towards the baggage claim and grabbed the rest of my bags, my mother fallowing me doing the same. We walked out of the airport and got into the rental car. My mom drove up to a small white house. She parked in the driveway and I walked up to the front door. My mom came up behind me and unlocked it. I walked in, ran upstairs, threw my stuff in an empty room and stormed out of the house. I started to walk down the sidewalk and then…

"crash Oh I'm so sorry! I was so upset I wasn't even watching where I was going!" I said as I tried to get myself up off the ground.
