A/N: This takes place Harry's sixth year, and as I haven't read 'Phoenix' yet, I don't have much info on the events in the book, so it doesn't exist..The only thing I know is that Ron is the Keeper of the Gryffindor team.

Chapter One: Stars in the Sky

Harry jolted awake that morning, slipped on his glasses, and looked at his alarm clock. It read: July 31st, 4:00 A.M. Happy birthday to me.four hours late, he thought as he stretched and walked over to the window. Hedwig lazily opened an eye and softly hooted. "Be quiet, Hedwig, or Uncle Vernon will hear." Harry whispered, and he thought he heard his overly large cousin Dudley Dursley getting up.

It was only Dudley rolling over. Harry let out a relieved sigh. Just then, a small owl, barely bigger than a cherry, flopped on Harry's bed. "Pig." Harry stated, knowing Ron had sent this owl. Harry's godfather, Sirius Black, as Ron had affectionately nicknamed Pigwidgeon, sent Pig to him three years ago.

"What would Ron be doing up at four in the morning?" Harry asked. Pig hooted curiously, and with that, Harry tore open the envelope concealing the note. It read:

Dear Harry,

Happy birthday! It's too quiet here, so I thought I'd send you a note. Have you been able to practice Quidditch without the Muggles watching? I haven't, Mum won't let me buy a broom.

-Ron

Harry gingerly set the letter down, as if it was a glass statue. Then, realizing what time it was, he smiled. He had never heard of anything so ludicrous as to receive a letter at four in the morning. He couldn't go back to sleep, so he went to his window. Outside, the stars seemed to hold a message in them:

"See you at Hogwarts, Harry Potter."

Harry shook his head and the message disappeared.
