I lay in bed wondering where she was. She said she'd be home by now. I was beginning to get worried because she was never home late with the new criminal, the fire fender. I went out to look for her. My girlfriend, and the love of my life katara had gone out to see her friend toph today. She said she'd be back by the time the sun set. I was worried because it set nearly a half an hour ago. I know I had nothing to be worried about. She was a master water bender. As I rode through the lush fire nation forest on my fire lizard my heart dropped to my toes when I heard a scream. I ran to where the sound came from and found toph lying on the floor unconscious. Where was katara? I whistled for my fire lizard and I set off once again with toph on my lap. Not towards the dense forest but back home. Uncle iroh was waiting for me at the front gate. "Zuko where did you-", he saw toph lying limply on my lap. 'I found her in the forest. She was the friend katara went to visit today." Uncle took toph and I set out again. As I approached the river I noticed something blue lying on the floor. Katara's necklace! I followed the river north and found slashed trees and burnt stumps. There was definitely a fight going on. When I traveled for about anther mile I noticed something that I hadn't noticed before. The river was getting slower and slower. That means there must be something blocking it, I thought. When I traveled up more and more I found the dam that caused the river to slow down. It was a giant rock in the middle of the river. It was not far from the fire temple. I used my fire whip to make the fire lizard go as fast as possible. When I got to the temple I noticed it was wet like someone had forced a giant wave over it. I knew katara was inside. "I'm coming my love" I whispered as I entered the temple.
