"Brenda are you sure I should take care of Luke? I-I don't think I'm the best with kids." Layton asked. Brenda simply chuckled as she handed over a small bundle.

"Of course I'm sure of it Hershel, isn' t that right Clark?" Brenda replied.

"Yes, it will only be some minutes." Clark said as the two left. Layton simply sighed. After a while, Layton's girlfriend Claire came in.

"Hello Hershel, what's up?" She asked.

"Oh this is my friend's son Luke." Layton responded, showing Claire the little baby wrapped up in a bundle. The little boy was asleep wearing a teddy bear hat.

"He's quite adorable." Claire chuckled. Luke soon opened his little eyes.

"Goo…?" Luke babbled. He looked at both Claire and Layton.

"I'm…a friend of your father's, my name is Hershel Layton." Layton told the little boy. Luke simply stared at him for a while until he began pulling on Layton's face.

"Hey! Don't do that…." Layton said annoyed. Claire simply laughed as Luke kept pulling on Layton's face. During that Paul passed by, and seeing the ridiculous scenario, he burst into laughter.

"Nyah hah hah! I knew you always had a long face Layton, but now I know you really have one! Ahahahah!" He said, laughing a lot. When Luke heard this he glared at him and puffed up his cheeks.

"Meanie!" Luke shouted. Paul growled and muttered something before trying to flirt with Claire much to her dismay. Suddenly, Luke began making odd faces.

"What's wrong Luke?" Layton asked. Suddenly Luke vomited all over Paul.

"YOU ANNOYING BRAT! THIS WAS A NEW SUIT!" Paul yelled.

"Leave him alone, he's just a baby." Claire said. "Hershel, I'll hold him while you get a napkin. And maybe a new shirt."

Paul walked away annoyed and Layton got stuff from the small baby bag, cleaning up Luke and giving him a change of clothes. After some more time, Luke fell asleep and Brenda and Clark came back.

"Aww, he's still asleep!" Brenda said.

"Thanks for caring for him Hershel." Clark added as he took Luke back. Layton looked at the little baby and he swore he had winked at him. Who knows? Maybe that was a good thing.
