It all started so badly. . .
Flashback:
"Why'd you have to go that early?" She cried to herself. Her lover, Zhou Yu, just died in a battle with Wei.
"It's alright, my sister." Her sister, Da, was comforting her. Letting her cry on her shoulder as Da would stroke her back comfortingly and soothingly.
"But he promised the he'll comeback safely and maybe we'll get married. Like you and Ce." Xiao said in between sobs.
"Well, not all promises stay true, Xiao, move on, did you remember what he said before he went to battle?"
"H-He told me th-that if I ever love again, I should love like I loved him." She said between sobs.
"See? He doesn't want you to be alone all your life, Xiao."
End Flashback:
And ran sadly. . .
Xiao:
Oh how she wanted to feel his warmth again, his arms around her and his chin resting on her head. She missed those days, but they were over. She missed training with him. She missed the feel of his lips upon hers. Gentle, Soft and Sweet. But those kisses, like him, were gone.
She just couldn't find another to replace him, she shouldn't and she wouldn't. But maybe someday, she could love again.
A few weeks after his death and funeral, Xiao was still sad. She felt cold and unloved(the other 'unloved'[1]). But she remembered someone, someone who always loved her other than Yu.
Xun. Well, he did love her, somehow. He often kept her company when Yu was at a meeting. He always made her feel a different kind of warmth on the inside. She remembered a time when they were stuck for a while in the rain, holding on to each other tightly. She never recalled how they ended up like that, but she liked it.
'Maybe it is time for me to move on. . .' She thought.
She remembered a time when he would say something that Yu would seldom say; like 'I've been here for you since we became friends.' and 'I'm here for you, always have been, always will be.'
And yet, in the end, it finished happily. . .
"Xiao, you've always know that I'm always here for you." He was sitting on her bed beside her.
"But Xun, I only wanted to know, if—" she suddenly paused, unsure of what to say. She looked down at her feet.
"If?" he looked at her face.
"If you really. . ." she kept on pausing, nervously.
"C'mon Xiao," he placed two finger under her chin and gently lifted her face up to meet his. "Just tell me," he smiled so sweetly. He gently removed his hand from her chin and placed it on one of her hands on her lap.
'O-Our faces are so c-close,' Xiao thought as she blushed.
"I-I—" she stuttered. Suddenly she felt his lips cover hers. She was stunned at first but then she slowly responded.
They slowly pulled away.
"I just wanted to let you know that I love you," she said quietly but audible enough.
"I loved you too, ever since we met. . ." he said.
And so the two of them kissed and held each other so closely. . . To feel the warmth. . .
A/N: The end! Squeeeeee! Read and review if you want another one!
