Cry Love
---------------------
It was a cold autumn day in Central. Yes, autumn had settled in and shooed summer away. Sleeveless shirts were replaced by comfy sweaters, shorts for pants, and fans for heaters. It was quite cold in the buzzing city in Central. Even when the sun was out shining on your head at the park, coldness still enveloped you. And this is exactly what Edward Elric felt...
He sat on a park bench, in the park not really enjoying the coldness of his situation... But he had decided to come out to take a walk, he needed the air. Winry had just left for home, and Al had stayed home studying their new assignment after leaving Winry at the train station. Damn Mustang... He had almost begged Winry to stay. Oh how he needed her. Even after only a few minutes after the train departed, he missed her. He told Al he would take a walk, but Al just said he would stay home.
He thought walking for a bit letting the cold air hit his face would be good for him. Al knows so many things. 'Just like Winry...' Ed sighed and slumped even deeper into the bench. He felt utterly depressed. This had been going for what? Four Years? He sighed again and ran his finger through his yellow blonde hair. He was eighteen for God's sakes..! Why couldn't he just say it!
He held his head in gloved hands. He couldn't stand it. The feeling in his chest every time he sees her. That redness in her cheeks that made him smile, because it was him that made her blush. Every time that he was so close to telling her how he felt... A mission came up, trouble came up or something always happened! He was always been followed, many other troubles still arising... Even if he quit being a state alchemist the troubles seem to always follow him, and he needed information the whole time. He groaned as he felt sadness, anger, and loneliness filled him.
Yes he will always have Al... But he was his brother. He loved Al too. He was his companion, friend and brother. He was always with him, like a nagging bit of him telling him what to do. Al always knew what to do-- Most of the time anyways. A small smile tugged at the end of his lips, but you would know it wasn't happiness.
Edward Elric had such a heavy burden in his heart, not just because he has killed. Not because he has tortured. Not because he has hated... But because he does what is forbidden. He loves. Loves with all his heart and with all his soul and never forgets...
And he cries, at the start and at the end, because he will never have his chance. To love from his heart-- to laugh from his soul.
In that instance, tears welled in his eyes. As much as he didn't want to cry, it was all he could do. This and wait. Wait for Winry, wait for a chance, wait for love, wait for Mom. Wait for life and wait for death. Wait until the sun shines on him and life smiles his way. Wait for the expected, live for the inevitable. Live for everyone, and live for him.
But as he waits, love will cry.
