This short songfic is how ash wants to become a stronger person and wishes to be a hero.
His friends want to cheer him up, encouraging him, through a song. I chose these characters, because they fit the parts of this song perfectly. Keldeo and hoopa, (besides pikachu of cause) are my favourite pokemon, because they are sweet, cute, adorable, funny, and loyal to their friends.
Oh, just to be clear, pikachu isn't in this songfic, (sorry pikachu fans) he is probably sleeping.

Ash:
"It isn't that I'm unhappy For all the things that I earn.
For all the journeys I have taken All the lessons that I learn"
(He looked outside as memories of him with his pokemon started to show in his head.)
"But I wonder where I'm heading now, What my future holds for me?
I don't know where I could go, I guess there's no where for me to see,"
the others walked up to him, with sad looks, worried about their friend. He walked up to them.
"I have my pokemon to train , I'm a trainer, this is true,
But it's still unclear to me Just what I am meant to do"
"i want to have a purpose." (ash looks at hoopa sadly)
"Want to do all that I can." (He then turns to keldeo)
"i i want to make a contribution" (ash turned and looked at Cynthia who smiled sadly)
"I want to be apart of their plan." He looks ahead and was about to cry, until Cynthia came up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
Cynthia looked at him in sympathy as she sang. "Your destinies uncertain And that's sometimes hard to take, But i know it will be clearer, For every new choice you make"
Keldeo came up to him and nuzzled him a bit, making ash look at him, wiping his tears as the pokemon sang.
"Patience is never easy, I understand how you feel I know how hard it is to wait To finally make your dreams real."
Hoopa came up to him, happily, making ash smile. The small pokemon began to sing with happiness and cheer, hoping to see ash happy again.
"But you stand here for a reason You're gifted and you are strong.
The powers inside of you because you belong."
As they got together, they all sang in harmony.
"Know that your time is coming soon As the sun rises, so does the moon As love finds a place in every heart You are a hero, you'll play your part"
Keldeo walked around ash, giving him the biggest smile he could muster. "We understand you wanting more A chance to shine, a chance to soar"
Hoopa spun around ash, making him laugh softly. "soon will come the day it turns around."
All of them began to sing to ash as he was feeling a bit better. "Know that your time is coming soon As the sun rises, so does the moon As love finds a place in every heart You are a hero, you'll play your part"
Cynthia sang the last part as she and the other two pokemon hugged ash softly. " You are a hero, you'll play your part."
