Embry/Seth and Jacob/Paul
"Are you sure? I mean, I forced him to leave Sam's pack when I followed you. I've seen how upset he is even though he tries to hide it."
Jacob sighed, hating to see how upset Seth was. The two of them, plus Paul, were sitting in Jacob's home as they waited for a meeting between the two packs. Jake had gotten over his interest in Bella as soon as he had imprinted on Paul, but the packs and the council had been torn by the news of Bella's pregnancy. Some thought the child would be a monster, but some weren't sure what to expect.
Seth had imprinted on Embry and when Seth had followed Jake when the packs split, which had caused Embry to immediately follow Jake as well. Jake was aware that his friend had been upset at what had happened between the packs and it seemed that those feelings were causing Seth to feel guilty. Embry was currently with Leah and Quil who were visiting Claire.
"Seth, you don't need to worry. Em loves you and you make him happier than he's ever been. He might be upset about the packs, but its not your fault."
Paul nodded in agreement, "He doesn't blame you, Seth. I've heard some of his thoughts on patrol. You have nothing to worry about."
Seth sighed, looking relieved, "Thanks, guys. Its just hard to accept that I've got such a great guy as Embry. I just get worried sometimes."
At that moment, Embry came into the room and looked around at everyone, noting the serious expressions, "Hey, something going on?"
Seth smiled and ran over to give his imprint a hug, which Embry readily returned, "No, I was just being stupid and worrying over nothing."
Embry frowned, "Worrying over what? You know you can talk to me about anything."
Seth buried his head in Embry's shoulder, feeling embarrassed, "Just this whole mess we're in. I know this hasn't been easy for you."
Embry made Seth face him and gave the younger wolf a kiss, "Hey, I'd rather be in this mess with you than have everything be fine without you. I have you. I'll be fine. Plus Jake and Quil are with us and Paul and Leah. That's a lot more than I had growing up, so I'll be okay. I promise."
Seth smiled broadly until the moment was ruined by Paul, "Alright, that's enough. Stop now before you start screwing in front of us."
Seth blushed bright red as Jacob laughed and Embry glared, "That was one time and you two were following us!"
Jacob put a hand on Paul's shoulder and said, "Okay, that's enough. Everyone calm down. Em's right about that time and we're all under a lot of stress right now. Em, Seth, if you two need some alone time, you can use the shed."
