There's a certain desperation around me during the holidays. Maybe its because my birthday is around this time, or maybe it's the fact everyone else is so happy and I'm not. Maybe it's the fact I left my family because my father wanted me for pleasure around this time. I don't know but I always feel incomplete.
She tucked her thick brown hair behind her ear looking at several happy couples.
I'm normally content. Jealously she watched a couple throw snow balls at each other. I changed my destiny, I moved out. Why do I feel like I need something. she furrowed her eye brows together, blowing on her cold fingers. I'm making my own living.
She wanted something else. Something she searched for by night with different men, the boys she shared a job with, and random strangers. It was a miracle she hadn't gotten pregnant yet.
I hate being alone. She thought, her brown eyes gazing at what appeared to be a city full of couples. Well how do I change that? She made a quick turn walking down town to the boys lodging house. Normally just showing up some one would offer to take her out that night, but this night every one was happy with their lovers.
She sat down, the lodging house was slightly warmer then the streets.
"Da legendary Magic." Racetrack said sitting next to her. "Alone."
"Shut up Italian scum." She muttered.
"Awww, some one's mad." He said putting an arm around Magic, pulling her close. "Want me to help."
"You have a girl."
"So, shouldn't mattah to you, just wanna get laid."
"It should mattah ta you." Magic stood up and ran right into Bumlets.
"Lonely?" He whispered.
"I always am."
"Then come on." he pulled her upstairs pushing his mouth against hers, Magic pushed back with equal force and started to unbutton his shirt pushing it off.
Completion, passion, sex Magic thought as Bumlets picked her up easily and put her on his bed and then vaulted him self up. Hungrily they kissed each other

Author's notes: This is a one shot where Magic is NOT a hooker, she's a newsie! Man I'm doing a lot of one shots! Also I'm aware that I make Race an ass a lot, don't ask me why but he seems the type to me. Also I do not understand my fascination with Bumlets! I mean the guys nice but not my favorite! He just seems a little underdeveloped and I like the idea of him and Magic, they just seem to fit!
