Chapter 1
Akame's POV
"Is everyone ready?" I asked everyone as we stood on the outskirts of the battlefield. My comrades nodded as we looked onto the battlefield. The revolutionary army were fighting the Empire's soldiers, but not making any progress. We all started running through the battlefield, killing amnyone who got in our way. As we were about to close in on Prime Minister Honest, a beam of energy came at us, sending us flying.
"Did you honestly believe that we would let you get close to the prime minister?" Esdeath stated as she, the remaining Jaegers, which included Wave, Run, and Kurome, and General Budoh, whom had used his Imperial Arms to shoot the beam of energy, stood between us and Honest, "I thought you had more sense than that, Najenda."
"Get out of our way, Esdeath. Can't you see that he is only using you to do his dirty work?" Najenda countered.
"Do you honestly think I haven't already realized that? I don't care. Anyone who stands against the Empire must be terminated." Esdeath replied, "Budoh, take care of them will you?"
"With pleasure, Miss Esdeath." General Budoh said. He then aimed his Imperial arms at us and fired them at full power. We all closed our eyes waiting for the inevitable since there was nowhere to run.
