Hey guys, this is the intro to my new multi-chapter fic centering around Armin and Annie as highschoolers. Let me just say that I know this intro is short and has a light tone but I just want to introduce them and set the setting a little. But this story will get more exciting and have darker tragic scenes later on. Isn't that a pleasant thing to look forward to. Like Yay it's all down hill to sadness from here! Haha. Anyway I want to say now that the names of the chapters will be titles of songs that inspired me to write this fic but won't have anything to do with the actually story, so without further adew lets begin.
"Eren, are you sure this is still a good idea?"
"For Crist sake Armin Yes! I think it's a good idea." The short tempered brunette shouted at his nervous blond friend who was currently riding in the back seat of the latter's 1987 Monte Carlo as Eren drove them to school.
"Eren, don't yell at him." Came the short scolding from his adopted sister Mikasa who sat next to him. "I'm sorry Armin, but you've been asking me all morning if it is a good idea for you to take automotive classes with me and my answer still hasn't changed. Besides, if I recall right you were the one who suggested it, not me."
"Yeah, I know I said it would be a good learning experience for me, but don't you think I am gonna stick out like a sore thumb to the other guys since I'm not like them."
"Well of course you will" Eren said jokingly.
"Eren!" Mikasa scolded again.
"Come on, Im just kidding Mika." Eren looked at Armin in the rear view mirror. "Look Armin, that's the whole point of you taking the classes. You get to learn a good skill to know, you earn a certification for the course, and we will be able to have another thing in common. Think about it, we could go to car shows and the drag strip. Plus, chicks dig a guy who can work on his own car." Eren said as he pulled up and stopped at a red light.
That finally got a chuckle from Armin and a snort from Mikasa. "See, Y'all need to lighten up a little bit, remember, we're finally seniors, we can all drive now, and we are always ready for a good time!" Just as he said this, the light turned green, and he turned to Mikasa with a wicked grin as he revved the engine.
"Eren, don't you even think-" Mikasa was cut short when she was thrown back in her seat as Eren dumped the clutch and launched the car. Eren shifted through the gears flawlessly until he reached 80 mph, all the while Armin and Eren laughed while Mikasa latched onto his ear and started twisting.
"Ow, ow, ow! Okay Mikasa!" The brunette whined as he slowed down to the speed limit. "You know you shouldn't touch the driver." He said jokingly.
"Then you shouldn't drive like a nut case." Mikasa wittily replied, with a smile across her face. Armin continued to laugh while thinking to himself that it is gonna be one crazy school year.
