"What are you thankful for?"

"Really Deeks?" Kensi asked from her place beside Deeks on Sam's front porch.

It was dark, they both had there coats on, protecting them from the cold. Sam, like every year, was having thanksgiving.

"Come on Kens, you gotta be thankful for some things. Besides food." He joked

Kensi smirked, shaking her head.

"Come on, let me hear it." He said

Kensi sighed,"I'm thankful for a lot of things."

"I'm not doubting that."

"Well then you tell me what you're thankful for!" She said

"I'll do it happily. Right after you do." He smiled

"Fine." Kensi huffed

"I'm thankful for..my life. My job, my friends, family." She explained

He simply looked at her,"really."

Her eyes widen with question,"What! I think that's a good answer!"

"Yeah but that's the basic answer that almost everyone gives when they don't wanna answer what they're really thankful for."

She just looked at him, he was right.

"Alright then. I am thankful for Callen, Sam, Eric, Nell, and Hetty. They're all family and I'm glad to have to them in my life."

Deeks nodded at her words,"Very Nice. But uh, sounds like you're missing someone."

Kensi pretended to think, before shaking her head,"Nah I don't think so." She smirked

Seeing her smile, just made him smile.

"Really?" He questioned

"Oh yeah, there is one more person." She teased

"Oh really?" He pretended to sound shocked

"I'm thankful for my insane, smart ass, one of a kind Partner. I'm thankful for the moments we have, the laughs. He's my best friend and he's always there when I need him, always has my back and I don't know what I'd do without him." She surprised not only Deeks, but herself with her words.

Deeks smiled,"Now that's a good answer." His voice was soft.

Kensi looked down, but smiled.

"You're turn. What are you thankful for."

"Alright, I'm thankful Callen and Sam. Good friends who are also known as your protective older brothers, especially when it comes to me."Kensi smirked,"I'm thankful for Eric and Nell who never fail to keep me updated, and flirt with each other, on a daily basis." They both laughed,"I'm thankful for Hetty who is constantly surprising me with her Jedi ways."

He paused before finishing, looking up at Kensi as he started again,"And last, but most certainly not least, I'm thankful for my food loving badass partner. Everyday she adds a little something more amazing to my life. She always has my back when I need her and I know I can tell her anything."

His voice started to turn into a whisper, he started to get closer a little,"I'm thankful for all the times you smile at me, when you laugh, talk. The moments we have, the times when we're close, when you let me hold your hand, hug you. And I'm thankful for all the moments we'll have in the future." Finishing, Deeks took her hand. Their fingers intertwined,"So, I'm thankful most for my Kens, Kensalina, Princess, Wifey, Sugarbear, best friend, and my partner.

Once again, they were both surprised. Kensi smiled, glancing down at their hands. Neither of them wanted to stop what they both knew what was about to happen.

Deeks free hand made its way up till he was cupping her face. They leaned forward until their lips connected. Butterflies filled her stomach, fireworks exploded inside him.

It lasted for just the right amount of time. Once they broke away, they didn't go very far. They leaned against each other's forehead and looked into each others eyes,

"Happy Thanksgiving Partner." He whispered

She smiled,"Happy Thanksgiving Partner."

I know thanksgiving was yesterday but it just came to me late last night and I was too tired to post it haha. Also I know it's been such a long time since I've been on im sorry! Schools been keeping me way too busy :( but I miss posting stories so much so I'm gonna try my best to get back on here again! Hope you liked this little one shot:D
