Akane approached the door to the guest room with no small amount of trepidation, the younger Saotome had asked to see her shortly after they had left school that afternoon. It had been some time since the failed wedding and matters between the two had stagnated into a cordial acceptance. The other fiancee's were still present of course but for some reason each of them had been rather docile ever since that particular fiasco.

Standing outside the door she worked up her nerve to face the young man whom had caused so much trouble but bought so much happiness into her life. Ever since he had arrived the Tendo household had changed where it was once lifeless and more a house that held several estranged family members it was now a home, filled with life once more.

Finally screwing up her courage enough she knocked on the door and waited for his assent before sliding it open and walking in. She found him sitting on his futon in a lotus position as if he had been meditating before she had interrupted him. He smiled up at her and motioned for her to take a seat on the floor across from him which she did while never taking her eyes away from his face.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" Akane asked in an unusually calm tone, something about his calm and silent demeanor was making her take this seriously.

"Well there has been something on my mind for a while now Akane and I figured it was about time I finally got around to admitting how I feel." Ranma explained softly.

This statement caught the young Tendo daughter off guard, several thoughts rushed through her mind all at once only some of which involved her in a positive light.

"Its been like an itch in the middle of my back that I could never itch because honor demanded I ignore it, but now honor be damned Im going to scratch that itch. I do love you Akane, never forget that." He paused and looked at her to asses her reaction to this news, it was received as expected, first there was surprise then joy then finally as what he'd said settled in, confusion.

"How do you mean 'Never forget that' are you leaving with one of your other floozies?" Her usual anger was inexplicably absent though and her remark lacked its normal bite.

"No Akane this doesn't involve the others, I never much cared for them, but you showed me kindness when no one else would, you will always hold a special place in my heart," he looked into her eyes during the pause to make sure he had her complete attention "Akane, Im gay."

A/N: Ok so there is crap all to this fic, I know and Im really sorry. I may one day make something more of it, you know add some flashbacks, use some more extended metaphors, bring some actual meat to the story, but for now it was only meant to get rid of my writers block and get the damn idea out of my head. Anyway R&R, dont bother flaming me, I wont listen to anything other than positive comments or constructive criticism. Anyway the next chapter of Away from Hom and Back Again, will be up once my editor cleans it up for me, which he didnt for this one thats why my grammar sucks. Anyway enough with the Ranting, have fun.
