Disclaimer: Not mine—and needed to get this out of my system. Enjoy
At midday, it began snowing in Amity Park.
Danny Fenton spied the falling frozen precipitation. The sight of the ground covered in white brilliance, revealing an unnatural cleanness and purity, did nothing to lower his uneasiness.
Lancer collected the last exam paper from the class and stated, "Thank you. Have a nice Christmas vacation."
Like a flash, all the students were outside, running in the snowdrifts, packing snowballs and throwing them at tormentors.
Danny ignored the festive activities, in favor of finding the cause of his dread. The black haired teen turned the corner and ran home spurred on by a green flash of light.
While he had discovered the Christmas truce honored by all ghosts, he was unsure when their "party" started and how long they would put aside grudges. The green flash worried him as only Phantom held that particular shade and strength—despite color variations due to power and intensity, green was his trademark with ecto blasts and shields, although less powerful ghostly invaders did have tinges of green in their appearance. Danny headed towards the blasts to figure out the newcomer who could also fire off green beams.
Turning one more corner, Danny Fenton slid on the icy street and slammed into the wall, as he tried to stop after going full out.
The Fenton Residence was in shambles and green fire lit up the street from inside. There were several individuals dressed in black encompassing clocks and hoods. They all wore white masks that resembled skulls. As one, the group trashing his home vanished with a pop.
All except one. He was laughing and hissing in pleasure. His eyes were read and slit, like a snake. Ignoring the insane stranger, Danny turned invisible and phased through the walls and flames trying to find his parents.
Locating their bodies was too much for the teenager. Both Jack and Maddie were frozen with fear on their faces. Instinctively, Danny knew they had died in pain.
He howled with anguish and flew outside, hitting the red eyed stranger hard. He didn't temper the power he put behind his punches and twisted to avoid the multi streams of light emerging from the guy's stick. Danny focused on the scarred individual's face, memorizing every detail, including the slits for a nose and white-blue skin. "Bastard!" he screamed.
When the leader of the terrorists managed top push Danny back a meter, he too vanished, returning to the hideout from where he and his minions came from.
Danny Fenton collapsed where he had fallen, and sobbed, ignoring the layer of snow as it blanketed him and turned him into part of the landscape. Meanwhile the Fenton household crackled and burnt under the unnatural fire; several items exploded from the intense heat and pressure.
Jazz's vehicle squealed and the brakes locked, spinning the car. As soon as it stopped moving, Samantha Manson, Tucker Foley, and Jasmine Fenton got out of the vehicle and approached the burning building. One by one they staggered towards the house, but were turned back by the flames and heat.
Jazz tripped over her brother and hugged him as he whispered, "Their gone! Mom and dad are gone." Once they realized their friend was in the street, they abandoned their efforts to getting in and tried comforting the Fenton Children.
When the brick walls began melting, Tucker grimaced before stating, "We need to stop the fire, if we don't want to loose everything—including the neighborhood."
Danny shuddered and pushed Jazz away before taking in the view. His blue eyes intensified in color and he held out his arms, releasing blue flames that froze the green fire and shattered the brittle metal.
Tucker wondered out loud, "Why didn't the fire brigade respond?"
Sam snorted. "Magic" she simply stated.
