The sunset waved its last rays at the beach and the Earth. The wind blew silently, whistling with the pokemon that flew by. May sat on a bench stroking her Beautifly. Why couldn't he just be a tad nicer to her? He treated her like nothing all the time. But then, all of a sudden, he could change into the most caring and nicest person in the world. May smiled at the thought of Drew. He was nice and arrogant, caring and rude. Such a strange combination, but that was what made her like him so much.
"Hey May."
She knew that voice all too well.
"Uh... Hi... I guess."
"What are you thinking about? I'm surprised I'm asking this, considering the size of your brain."
May fumed internally, but returned her pokemon and coolly replied, "Why bother than?"
Drew seemed taken back by her amazing comeback, but he didn't let her catch on. He smirked and gave his all famous hair flip and said, "For my entertainment. Usually, you would have said a stupid remark."
May lost all her temper and threw herself at him.
"Holy crud, May!"
"You are in no position to complain, Mr. Tree Hair!"
Drew was pinned to the ground by May, with her hands pinning his hands down. He could have easily shaken her off, but he wanted to see where this situation was headed.
"You know May, you look a lot better happy," he said.
May was currently boiling steam and fuming with anger. Drew smirked. How could she be mad and cute at the same time?
In a swift motion, he switched positions with May.
"Let go off me!" she screamed, squirming around on the floor.
Drew smirked at this and replied, "You know May… right now you are in no position to complain."
"Yeah right! I'm in a different situation right now! I am capable of throwing you―"
She was suddenly cut off by Drew, whose lips crashed onto hers. Her eyes widen in shock, but within a split second, she began kissing back. It was an electrifying feeling. It was shocking, yet it was what both May and Drew longed for every time they saw each other. They were in pure bliss, in each other's arms. May's arms snaked around and finally locked themselves around Drew's neck, pulling him closer. One of Drew's hands found its way to Mays waist and pulled her closer.
Finally, May pulled away, turning her face to hide her blush.
Drew gently turned her face to face him. He felt mesmerized at her twinkling sapphire eyes. Not being able to face May any longer, Drew got up and pulled May up with him.
It was an awkward silence, but finally, May crushed him in an embrace and whispered into his ears, "I love you."
Those three words make his spines shiver, but he answered her by kissing her again, this with more passion. After a LONG while, he broke away and said, "I love you too."
Drew smiled and said, "Please don't start complaining."
