Not Everything

Not Everything

Hermione Granger was perfect. She had soft brown curls for hair that reached just about in the middle of her upper arm, soft cinnamon coloured eyes that betrayed all of her emotions, the perfect figure, though, no one could tell underneath the Hogwarts robes, she got all the perfect grades, had the perfect friends and everyone liked her because of her perfect personality. She had been Prefect and was now Head Girl.

There was only one person who didn't think that Hermione Granger was perfect. His name was Draco Malfoy. He was the Head Boy and thought Hermione Granger was anything but perfect.

They fought constantly and it was mostly about something that he did, said, or was going to do.

One morning, Hermione got up like always and went to have her morning shower, before brushing her teeth and getting into her Hogwarts robes and ready for the days classes. She liked to sing as she showered and this annoyed Draco more than anything else she did.

Once she was out of the shower and dressed, she went outside to sit and have breakfast.

Draco came out soon after and sat down opposite her and gave her the morning glare that she was so used to.

She was used to Draco's being an ass to her in the morning and just ignored his constant attempts to make a jab at her. She was sick of it.

She looked up from her breakfast and glared back at him.

'What do you want Malfoy.' She asked him.

Draco looked up and met her eyes.

'Just to annoy you Granger. It's funny to watch you squirm.' Draco answered. Hermione glowered at him and went back to eating her breakfast.

Draco started to bang his knives and folks on his plate, and for the most part it didn't bother Hermione until he started to sing badly to the beat of the banging.

'Ah! Will you stop it?!' Hermione screamed over the top of the noise the boy was making. Draco shook his head and kept banging and singing loudly.

Hermione cracked and took his eating utensils away from him and threw them over the other side of the room. Draco smirked at her.

'Is the perfect Hermione Granger annoyed?' He asked teasingly. Hermione glared at him and he thought he could feel the holes being burnt through his skull.

'Yes.' She answered shortly. 'And I'm not perfect.' She added as an afterthought.

'What? You, not perfect? That is understatement. You have everything you want and you have the best stuff ever. How can you not be perfect, you have everything and anything you want.' Draco said.

'Not everything.' She muttered. Draco gave her a curious look and she took a deep breath before standing and walking around the table to face him.

Draco looked even more curious as Hermione got down on her knees. She took another deep breath and took his head into her hands, and before he could say or do anything, kissed him softly on the lips.

She broke it off soon after and got up to get her bag from the corner and go out the door and down to breakfast where Harry and Ron awaited her.

'Wait.' Draco said after coming out of the initial shock of having her kiss him. He got up and reached her just as she was about to leave and spun her around to face her.

'Look, Draco, just don't…' She was cut off to a kiss to her lips. She looked a bit astounded to find him kissing her, but didn't complain. She wrapped her arms around him and dropped her bag to the floor.

Draco gently pushed her back into the wall behind her and pushed his body against her. He tried prying her mouth open with his tongue and was allowed entry. He had his hands on her lower waist and gently squeezed her sides. She squeezed his neck a bit which made him come closer to her. She had her foot resting against the wall and Draco moved his hand down to her thigh.

He broke the kiss, and they were both left a little breathless. Draco smiled down at her and rested his forehead on hers.

'Now you really do have everything.' He said.
