What is a soulmate? A soulmate is like a best friend, but more. It's the one person who knows you more than anybody else in the whole world. A soulmate is someone you carry with you forever because no matter what that person will stick with you forever, because that person is your soulmate.

That is what my mom told me 9 years ago.

She said, "When you find your soulmate, don't let him go, because once you lose them you can't get them back."

9 YEARS LATER

ANNABETH'S POV

Ok, let me tell you this, every body is born with a scar somewhere on the body, it could be the bottom of your foot or on your arm, or wherever. When your 16, a name will appear on the scar and that name will be the name of your soulmate. It could anyone, boy or girl. The name will only, and only appear on your 16th birthday.

It doesn't even matter if you met them or not, the name on the scar will be your soulmate even if you hate that person.

It was 1 day until my birthday, and the day that my soulmates name will appear, and my friends were bugging and telling me who it could be.

My friends, Thalia Grace, Piper McClean, Calypso Skytan, Rachel Elisabeth Dare, Katie Gardener and Silena Beauregard. We were currently having a super party at Pipers house, cause they didn't want to miss the moment my soulmates name appeared.

They all had already there soulmates name Thalia had Nico diAngelo, Piper had Jason Grace, yes it was Thalia's brother, Calypso had Leo Valdez Rachel had Luke Castellan, Katie had Travis Stoll, and Silena had Charles Beckendorf. They all had the most popular boys from school, and since they had their soulmates they were all dating.

So far everybody was just arguing on who my soulmate was when Piper squealed so loud it almost broke my eardrums.

"OMG OMG OMG, what if Annabeth's soulmate was," I was shocked at who Piper said "Percy Jackson"

And all of a sudden al the girls started agreeing and squealing.

"HOLD UP! No, no, no, no, no, NO!" I just started screaming.

They just stared at me for a few seconds when Thalia broke off the silence.

"Why not Annie, i mean all of our boyfriends are friends with him and were friends with you," I glared at Thalia for calling me Annie.

"Nope not a chance that that ignorant person would be my soulmate"

"Well there is chance that he could be your soulmate, remember that your soulmate could be anyone, even someone you hate." Rachel said with a tone matter-o-factly

"Nope not a chance, and there is only one way to know, and that would be in the morning", I said.

TIME LAPSE TO THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL

"So Annabeth, did you check your scar." Calypso said

"No, not yet i didn't have the time in the morning because someone was rushing me, I wonder who *cough Thalia cough*" I said rather annoyed.

"Well i wanted to do it in school so everyone can see" she said not caring

"HEY EVERYBODY IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO ANNABETH'S SOULMATE IS COME HERE!"

It was mostly our group and the jackass Percy's group, which was Jason, Nico, Luke, Leo, Beckendorf, and the jackass himself Percy.

"Well come Annabeth show us who your soulmate is." Jason said with a hint of curiosity.
