I need a case. – SH
Lestrade sighed when he saw this text from Sherlock. The case he was currently working on was a simple suicide. Certainly not a case Sherlock would call worthy of his attention. Lestrade knew that even when the detective was bored out of his mind, he would turn down a case that he deemed too simple.
We don't have anything today. Just a suicide. – L
Lestrade clicked 'Send,' before pocketing his mobile. The phone had been in his pocket almost exactly 5 seconds when it vibrated again.
I need a murder. Find one. – SH
There's nothing on the site? – L
John took away my laptop. – SH
Hardly my fault, is it? – L
The DI snorted when he imagined John Watson taking a laptop away from the great Sherlock Holmes. Lestrade was sure that Sherlock was tearing up the flat right now, trying to find the bloody thing. Must've done that earlier. Maybe that was why John took the laptop away from him.
Don't listen to him. He's just upset that I took his laptop because he wasted all the food in the fridge. – JW
Do I want to know? –L
Not really. – JW
Will you get him to stop? – L
I've already threatened to take his mobile as well. - JW
Lestrade shook his head, as he pocketed the mobile again. "Okay guys, let's get the poor woman down from there."
The forensic techs in front of him scurried to get a gurney into the room and carefully laid the young woman's body in the body bag.
~5 hours later~
Please, I need a case. – SH
I even said please! – SH
Lestrade, I'm going insane. John won't give it back. – SH
Sherlock moaned as he sent another text to Lestrade. He glared briefly at John, who acted as though he were oblivious to the look. Sherlock grinned when his phone vibrated again. His smile fell into a scowl when he read the text.
Damnit, Sherlock. I'll call you when I get a case in, alright? Be patient. – L
I've been patient for hours now. – SH
No you haven't. You've been bugging me for hours. – L
Sherlock chucked his mobile to the other side of the sofa. He crossed his arms and let out a huff.
"Can I-"
"No, Sherlock," John said smugly. "You can't have the laptop back for another 3 days, I told you."
"But Joooohn, it's been 4 days already!" Sherlock whined.
John rolled his eyes. He glanced at Sherlock for a second, before returning to his own laptop. Sherlock was again lying on the sofa with his back to him.
~ 2 days later~
"HAH! I FOUND IT," Sherlock shouted, pulling the laptop from behind the sofa. Sherlock had been trying to find the laptop for 2 days now. John had finally given in, and told Sherlock that he could have it back. If only he could find it. Sherlock settled himself in his chair, already typing in the password.
"Even if you didn't find it today, you would've gotten it tomorrow morning."
Sherlock grunted. "And I get to have it almost a whole day earlier than normal, so I win."
John rolled his eyes again. He pulled out his mobile, opening a new message to Lestrade. Already the rapid clicking noises from the laptop were annoying him.
PLEASE tell me you have a case for him. He's driving me insane. – JW
You two are so bloody annoying. - L
