After her death it had been up to him to take care of them. Up to him to make sure they grew up and were safe from the Sith. He'd long since been kicked out of the Order but that didn't seem to matter anymore. What did matter were the twins… his children that at the moment sat on the living room floor of his home playing. Obi-Wan visited every once in a while to check up on them. To make sure the three of them were doing alright.
The children were five now. For five years he'd been taking care of his own children. Of Luke and Leia. And right now he was sitting on the couch as they played when Luke suddenly jumped up as did Leia. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing daddy!" Luke exclaimed.
"Then what'd you two jump up like that for?"
"Cuz uncle Obi's here!"
True to their word he heard a knock on the door and when he answered it there was Obi-Wan Kenobi, his former Master. He couldn't help but laugh as the older man was barreled over by two very hyper active five year olds. "Good morning, Master."
"Anakin, you know you don't have…" But he was cut off by the former Jedi and merely hugged the two children that had barreled him over.
"I know I don't have to but humor me. I want to." Anakin states watching the three together.
"How have you three been doing?"
Neither Luke or Leia let him answer, instead they answered for him telling Obi-Wan that they were doing fine. That they were happy but that their daddy was lonely. "I'm fine."
"Nu uh." Leia states. "Daddy needs someone. Can you find someone uncle Obi?"
"Cuz daddy doesn't need to be lonely." Luke states. "And it's gotta be someone pretty." He whispers to the Jedi Master.
"I'll see what I can do." Obi-Wan tells them before looking over at his former apprentice.
Anakin merely shook his head. "Who wants milk and cookies?" He asks ignoring Obi-Wan's look and smiled when the twins jumped up and ran right into the kitchen to wait. Daddy may have been lonely but they loved their milk and cookies. And the snack was a perfect distraction.
