Beautiful Woman

"Say something." Wolf told Azima, he sat opposite her at the dinner table in the wardroom. They were having a working dinner which was the only reason Wolf and Miller were up there instead of down in the enlisted mess.

At the table with them sat; Alisha, Danny, Kara, Miller, Burk, Sasha, James with Mike at the head of the table with Meylan to his left. The two were in a deep conversation with Sasha and James. While the others were happy to witness the train wreck of Wolf's attempts to woo Azima.

"Something." Azima replied in a smart ass manner. Others chuckled at Wolf's less than stellar advances in trying to flirt with Azima but he was giving up.

"Come on," he drawled, in a rich manner. "We're about to be in your neighbourhood. It would help us blend in if we spoke some Swahili." he told her with a sly grin. Azima narrowed her eyes and appraised him for a moment before she placed down her cup of water.

"And you believe that speaking the language will make you and Fur-Balls One and Three blend in?" she asked mockingly.

"I have a name." Danny told her, Azima grinned. She knew he and Miller had names and while they were on Mission or on the clock, she used it. When they were off it as they were now. Well, she had her own names for them all.

"I worry one day that fur on your face will smother you to death in your sleep." Azima told Danny in a serious tone.

"I think the same thing too." Kara told her, the others chuckled while Danny looked unimpressed.

"Perhaps we should just shave them off, it would make dinner time more palatable." Azima said.

"Can we get back to you teaching us Swahili?" Wolf prompted as they had gone off topic. Azima gave a sigh and looked up as if pulling her thoughts together, there was a playful curl to her lips.

"Ok," she turned her attention away from him and looked straight at Alisha who was sitting next to him. "Wewe ni mrembo..." she continued speaking in her native tongue, making it very clear who her choice was. She spoke at length and looked at Alisha in a meaningful and somewhat salacious way that made everyone stop what they were doing to watch. Alisha just sat there a little dazed as she didn't need to know what was being said as she had a pretty good idea of what Azima's meaning was. Once Azima finished whatever she had been telling Alisha, she leaned back in her chair; looking thoroughly pleased with herself.

"What did you say?" Danny asked, wondering if he could learn the English version for Kara as Alisha looked fairly swayed to leave her dinner and disappear with Azima for a few hours.

"What?" Azima asked blankly, pretending to misunderstand.

"What you said to Granderson. You going to translate?" Wolf asked a little jealous of Alisha as the woman was now thoroughly focused her megre dinner, with a tell tale blush on her cheeks.

"No, how are you going to learn if I give you all the answers?" she asked mockingly, Wolf didn't miss the furtive looks between them and sunk back into his chair as he realised he wasn't going to win the woman as she was clearly interested in another party.

"Right," he said, feeling a little defeated.

"But Lt Granderson, I will tell you later in the Gym what I said. I think you'll get some good value out of it." Azima assured Alisha with a knowing look.
