Really quick A/N: I apologize to anyone expecting my old fandom. I will try to get some up later :D
Also, I don't own Supernatural. It belongs to Kripke and various others
"Isn't it awsome?" Dean asks.
Sam wasn't sure they were looking at the same thing. The "awsome" item was a bike. A beat up, rusty bike with the what was probably red paint chipping. It looked like it would support a popsicle stick. Anything more and it would probably collapse.
"Where'd you get that?"
"A junk pile down the street." Dean was grinning from ear to ear. " And your going learn to ride it."
"I know how to ride a bike Dean" Sam lied.
He had seen kids ride them of course. After school, while waiting for Dean to be relieved of detention, he would watch these children ride off with their friends, sometimes envious over the fact that he did not own a ten speed. Sam had thought of asking someone to try once or twice but once he worked up the courage Dean would show up complaining about his bitchy teacher. However Sam was smart enough that a bike was not a necessity and it would never fit in the Impala.
"Sam." The simple tone told him that Dean knew he was lying.
"Why do I need to learn to ride a bike?"
"It is a life necessity."
"Since when is bike riding a life necessity?"
"It will keep you healthy."
"Why do I need to stay healthy?"
"So you don't die."
Sam was not pleased with this answer. His questions never were answered in full. It was either "Because", "Shut up" or "So you don't die".
He was about to open his mouth with another question but Dean cut him off.
"Look Sam, I can always bring it back to the junk pile."
Sam stared at the bike. He did long to ride it. To find out what all the fuss was all about. Plus Dean did go through the trouble of aquiring the bike even if it was a piece of junk.
"No. I'll ride it."
He picks the bike up and jumps on to it gracefully, surprised that it was not pieces under weight. He doesn't master moving the pedals and all grace dissapeared as the bike toppled onto the grace sideways.
"Dude, you suck." Dean says while helping his brother off the ground.
Sam just glares and hops back on the bike. This time it does not fall. Sam looks over his shoulder and sees Dean holding the bike upright.
"Pedal." He commands and lets go.
The bike makes it a few feet before toppling over again. This process is repeated over the hours and many bruises later, Sam can turn and stop.
"So why was that important again?" Sam asks while Dean checks over his injuries.
"Because it is."
Sam has the urge to continue questioning but he sees the tired expression in Dean's face and decides against it. He will ask again tomorrow.
