Sunset

I loved to watch the sun set. They were always so beautiful, all the colors and lights and textures. My favorite color was the orange-red and pale oranges: they just seemed to glow in the slightly-warm dusk light as the sun sets, turning and fading into different colors and tones. It was always just the right temperature, too. Not entirely warm but not cold or cool. All you needed was a light jacket or blanket and you could just sit and watch the whole sun set.

And the scent: the dusky warm, clean, cool scent that smelled of lights and fallen October leaves and beginning of the night.

But they were so much better when you watched them with someone. Sun sets had what Cherry called 'perfect cuddle weather'. I hadn't thought about it too much back then until Two-Bit had asked me out and bam! I found myself dating him. That had been six months ago and now he came along with me every time I went to watch the sun set. It was sweet, at least that's what Cherry says, and I mostly liked it. He could keep himself quiet most of the time while I watch (although he watched me most of the time instead of the sunset) and I use his arm as a pillow and Cherry was right: it was perfect cuddle weather.

Now, if only I could get Two-Bit to actually watch it instead of trying to get his hands down my pants the entire time. But he would just grin every time I gave him an annoyed look and requested he removed his hand from my pants. I always turned as bright-pink as the sunset when he would roll over and pin me to the floor with that damned grinning smirk of his.

But either way, I still loved to watch sunsets. Especially with Two-Bit.
