Dr. Cockroach was sitting on Susan's shoulder reading the latest sci-fi novel to her. As she was 46 ft tall, she could no longer read because the print was just too small for her large eyes to see properly. It had been wonderful to her to find that one of her new friends had the same taste in books she did. And now it was a weekly routine for both of them.

Susan yawned. Dr. Cockroach looked up, "You know, my dear, it is rather late. Perhaps we should continue this tomorrow evening." Susan giggled as her friend scurried down her arm to the floor.

"Yeah, I am kinda tired." Susan kissed the tip of her index finger and pressed it to her friend's cheek. "Thank you... you know, I don't even know your real name." Dr. Cockroach laughed and grinned.

"Put me back on your shoulder and I'll tell you." She set him back on her shoulder. He leaned in and whispered, "My name is Gregor Brundle." Then he very quickly kissed her cheek. Then, even faster, he scurried down her arm and out of the room. Unfortunately, this did not go unnoticed by the other two monsters.

No sooner had Dr. Cockroach left Susan's room than he was assaulted by his friends singing "The doc is sweet on Suuussaaannn, the doc is sweet on Suuussaaannn," and of course the ever cliché "way-to-go-Romeo."

Dr. Cockroach hissed, "Link, Bob. I'm going to kill you both." He stalked off to his room then, where at least he wouldn't have to deal with those two 'children'. He heard Link and Bob start to annoy Susan.

"Hey Susaaannn. How was your date with the doc?"

She let out an exasperated sigh and then she started yelling "For the love of God, we are not dating! And even if we were, a girl could do a hell of a lot worse than him. So, SHUT IT!"

Dr Cockroach snickered. Link and Bob, as infinitely annoying and juvenile as they were, did have a point. He was most definitely sweet on Susan. And apparently she liked him as well. He had the urge to laugh his mad scientist laugh, but he refrained. He simply decided to stay up for a few more hours to plot how exactly he would ask her out.
