Tenten sighed happily as she leaned back into Neji's strong chest. The clear night sky was filled with millions of twinkling stars, all of them smiling down on the happy couple that sat enjoying each other's company. Neji brought his arms around Tenten's waist and held her in his embrace. Tenten closed her eyes and she felt the slow steady breathing of Neji beneath her, each breath calming her a little bit more. His steady heartbeat was a lullaby to her tired body as it lulled her into a half awake sleep. She felt Neji stroke her hair, each strand flowing down her slender back, dark in the moonlight. She felt him kiss the top of her head. She smiled at the simple yet sweet gesture that only she got to witness from the Hyuga, and she finally drifted into a deep sleep.
Neji smiled as Tenten leaned back into his chest. He looked up at the dark blue sky, seeing each heavenly body glimmer in the net of black that came each night. Neji wrapped his broad arms around her slender frame as she sank deeper into him with each breath she took. He could feel her breath slowing and evening out and he knew soon she would be asleep. He brought her even deeper into arms and began stroking her chestnut hair that lay out beneath her, each strand loose from its usual cage of the buns she always wore, a sight that only he got to see of the kunoichi. He kissed the top of her head gently and knew that at last she had fallen asleep. He held the woman he loved in his arms until he too fell into a deep sleep filled with wonderful dreams of the two of them.
