Tenten sighed as she placed yet another shirt back on the rack. After a day of shopping for new recreation clothes with no success, she was beginning to get discouraged. Why did Sakura and Ino both have to have missions today...the one day I actually WANT to shop...Tenten thought to herself. She was just beginning to entertain the notion of leaving the store and giving up for the day when she saw someone she did not expect.

"Neji! Hey, Neji!" Tenten yelled over to the men's department when she spotted her teammate. She raced over to wear he stood looking at dress shirts. He looked over at the kunoichi smiling up at him.

"What are you doing here Neji?" she asked curiously. "I thought the main branch made your robes and clothes."

"Hn," he nodded in confirmation. He looked anxious to Tenten, as if he was trying to hide something. It was then that she spotted Neji holding something behind his back.

"Hey, Neji...what is that you're holding...?" she asked him as she tried to get a look behind his back. But Neji kept moving his arms around, preventing her from seeing the shirt he had held in his hand. Unfortunately, after a minute of Tenten desperately dancing around him trying to see the clothing, Neji faltered and Tenten seized the opportunity to grab the piece of clothing from his hands. Neji sighed impatiently as she examined the article.

"Neji...haha...Ne...Oh man...hahah!" She laughed. "Are you getting a purple shirt!" She continued laughing as she held the light lavender dress shirt in her hands.

"Hn," Neji grunted and ripped the shirt from Tenten's grasp as he proceeded to leave the kunoichi with stitches in her sides as he walked towards the checkout.

"Wait no, Neji, wait up!" yelled his teammate as she caught up with him and blocked his path. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh, I just...found it funny to see you shopping, and...I...thought you wouldn't get such a feminine color and...well, I think it's nice. It matches your eyes."

Neji stared at her for a few seconds, gazing into her chestnut eyes as he tried to judge whether or not she was really sorry.

"I'll see you tomorrow for training, Tenten," he finally said after a slightly awkward silence and he pushed past her to the checkout lines. Tenten stared after him for a few seconds before turning back to leave the store. She had decided exactly what to get him for his next birthday; a bouquet of lavenders.
