Dare
Naruto, AU: Naruto/Sasuke
"Don't make me kill you," Naruto hissed, shoving the tip of his gun into Sasuke's neck as he backed him against the wall.
"You couldn't pull that trigger," Sasuke said, his eyes half-lidded. "You couldn't kill your someone you call family."
Naruto pressed the gun hard against Sasuke's pale neck, making him wince slightly and gave Sasuke a feral grin. "Do you know what I've done the past five years to find you?"
"No," Sasuke said, pressing his back against the wall even more closely than he already was; a taunt, "but I do know you want me back and even you're not stupid enough to not see that killing me would defeat what you've worked for, for all these years."
Naruto moved the gun down to his shoulder, "I can still hurt you enough so that you can't stop me."
Sasuke's lips twitched into a smirk. "I dare you."
Naruto bared his teeth. "You know I can never turn down a dare from you."
Sasuke's face twisted up, gasping when Naruto put a hole through his shoulder, and then he fell into Naruto's arms. Naruto pressed Sasuke against him into the closest thing to a hug they've ever shared.
"I'm the one bleeding," Sasuke said softly, closing his eyes, "why are you the one crying?"
"Because we're still not whole," Naruto hissed, digging his fingers into Sasuke's back. "You let Sakura-chan die. You might as well have killed her."
"I know," Sasuke said and wished he could cry too.
