She couldn't describe her feelings for the young Avatar. They were all mixed and jumbled and she felt as though she were falling. His gray eyes made her heart race, thinking about him made her blush, seeing him made her stutter sometimes. Teaching him to Waterbend had become the highlight of each of her days.

As the young Waterbender continued to practice the new Waterbending move she was going to teach, she continued to see his smiling face in her mind. She always wondered how any person could smile so widely. She giggled quietly to herself and let the water fall around her. She twisted her hair, wringing the water from it, and looked up as Aang tossed the fire-wood by the camp fire.

"Ready?" Katara asked as Aang walked up in front of her. He grinned and nodded.

"Okay. I've been working on this for a few days now, and it's going to combine everything I've taught you," he watched her movements closely, his eyes intent on the way she moved, and her timing.

He tried it for himself, but he was too quick with it. Katara shook her head. "Try it without the water this time," she said, repeating what she had just shown him. He tried it, and glanced behind himself. He knew she was watching him. But she didn't know his timing was off on purpose.

Katara sighed and walked up behind him, taking his wrists lightly in hers. She guided his arms, and moved his body in unison with her own. His ears and cheeks were red, and his skin felt hot. She stepped back, a small smile forming on her face.

"Now you try, with water this time."

He shook his head, looking at her. "I don't think I'll get the timing right, like all the other times. What was that one move with the hands again?"

Katara rolled her eyes and walked in front of him. She pushed his arms up, his palms facing her, and placed her hands on his. She moved them in the motion that she had showed him over five times now, and then crossed her arms over her chest.

"Got it now?"

He tried it, but the water merely splashed slightly, but didn't move much. Katara sighed. "Put more effort into it. Like this,"

She moved beside him, closed her eyes for a moment, and then repeated the motions again. The water moved with her hands and twisted around her like a serpent, up above her head, and then she slammed it back down into the small lake, splashing Aang in the process. He wiped his eyes and grinned.

"Nice," he muttered. And this time when he tried it, it was perfect and more powerful than what Katara had done. Walking back up to camp, he looked behind him with a grin.

"We should do that again sometime."

Katara rolled her eyes, but she suddenly realized that Aang may not be as innocent as she had originally thought...
