I remember everything about that day. I was asleep in my bed when I woke up crying. A warmth I had never felt before filled me, and I just cried. My Nezumi was here.

Otou-san told me about the jyuunishi curse, but only being three at the time I didn't quite understand. But now I do, I was Kami, their beloved master. I controlled over the twelve who were possesed by the Chinese Zodiac, and a bakemono. A monster. but i wanted my nezumi here, and it was finally here. I remember it was very late at night, it was the the last day of the year.

I remember how I stopped and looked outside. the snow was falling and it was so beautiful, I knew my nezumi would be pretty. But then I felt something. Something was wrong with my nezumi.

I couldn't find Otou-san, so something was definitely wrond. I ran to the only other person I could trust, Shigure, my Inu. He was with the Hebi and Ryu when I found him. I told them, and they didn't care! Before I could throw a tantrum Hatori, my dragon, pulled me aside and explained what was going on. My nezumi was dying. Pain filled me as I cried endlessly. Hatori got a call on his phone, it was Otou-san. He handed the phone to me, and Otou-san told me the worst news I could ever hear.

I remember sitting and watching the clock, they said he wouldn't live more than ten minutes. There was only ten minutes left until the new year came and I counted the minutes. 10...9...8...7...6...5...4... The phone rang, it was Otou-san...3...He told me what happened.2...I cried.1... My nezumi would make it. I was so happy . My nezumi was here, and his name was Yuki. But what made me mad was his mother. When she held her new child it turned into a rat.
And her first words were, "The rat of the jyuunishi? How fitting, how soon will I be paid?"

I never did like that woman.

I didn't get to see Yuki until I was eight, he was five at the time. They told me when he was born that he was a sickly being that needed much attention growing up. But I didn't care, he was finally here. I remember he cried before me as the other jyuunishi.
I remembr my very first words to my precious nezumi.

"We meet at last. Hello, my vengeful little Yuki."

And thus start the Bond between Kami and Nezumi
