I propped my chin upon my hand, my gaze drifting off into outer space, oblivious to anything around me. It was one of those days again. A day where I would sit in my study and stare out into the world, my imagination being set free to do whatever it wished. My shoulders and chest moved steadily, my eyes unmoved from the dream world I was frolicking in. My wooden mahogany doors opened, Sebastian walking in, pushing a tea car. It wasn't until his white gloved hand was placed on my shoulder that I noticed his presence. My gaze broke, turning to my butler. He had a worried look on his face, which was unusual for him.
"Young Master? Are you feeling alright?" I didn't answer him but turned my attention back out the window. It was quiet for a moment before I felt a warm hand touch my cheek.
"Sebastian, do you ever get lonely?" He was a bit shocked by the question but smiled and closed his eyes.
"You get use to it. I have you now, Master. I do not need anyone else's company." My eyes shifted towards him as he knelt down beside me, placing his hand over his heart, bowing his head. That smile he always wore plastered on his lips.
"I will always be here for you, My Lord. As long as our contract is sealed, I am not leaving your side." My eyes narrowed as I inhaled, my heart afraid of asking the forbidden question.
"And what happens when the contract breaks? Will you still be by my side then?" He opened his red eyes, placing his hand on my cheek. He was silent as my hair fell in my front of my eyes, hiding the tears that swam in them. Sebastian's smile faded as his expression turned sad.
"Young Master..." He tried to grab my hand but I backhanded him, my teeth clenched together as I tried to hold back the tears.
"Get out of my sight!" I shot my eyes towards him, seeing the red mark that now stained his porcelain skin. His eyes were full of sadness, a look in them I had never seen before.
"If I can say so, My Lord...I don't think I have the heart to devour your soul." My eyes widened, the tears on the brink of falling.
"I have grown attached to my Young Master. I cannot stand the sight of anyone hurting you, not even myself." I felt my heart pound in my chest. He rose to his feet, staring down at me.
"If you wish for me to leave, then I shall." I sighed, my gaze turning back to the outside world.
"No. Stay." He smiled and bowed. I then turned to him, reaching out to touch his soft black hair. He opened his eyes, staring into my blue ones.
"Sebastian?"
"Yes, My Lord?" I gulped, the hot tears now falling down my cheeks.
"Never leave my side...Please..." He couldn't help but smile as he reached out, wrapping his strong arms around my small frame, bringing me close to his chest.
"That is an order..." He stood up, retreating down the hall to my quarters.
"For as long as you are alive, Young Master, I will never part from you." I looked up at him, bringing my lips to his, the tears now helplessly dripping down. He placed his hand behind my head, kissing back. We slowly broke, a smile now on my face.
"This is an order. Join me in bed." He smiled and rested his forehead against mine as my bedroom door closed and was locked.
"Yes, My Lord."
