This is slightly based off a fic I read called Fix You. It's on my favorites page go check it out.
Will muttered something and shook his head. Running quickly towards the infirmary. He darted across the lawn and busted through the doors. He heard the yelling of the cabins trying to tame Beckendorf's dragon, trying to distract it from the injured demigods.
The stretchers were being clambering as the campers tried to aid each other. Will would have done it if not for the half dead one laying in front of him.
Will gasped at what he saw "Di immortales! Nyssa what happened?"
"What do you think happened Will? My brother is dying!" the daughter of Hephaestus raised her voice. Nyssa never raised her voice, and now it was breaking.
Will slapped on a pair of latex gloves and slowly traced over Jake Mason's battered body. The poor guy let out small groans of pain making Will stop.
"Hey buddy, this is going to hurt a lot but I need to be able to help you." Will whispered tenderly
As if on cue, Jake let out a heavy sigh and his muscles untensed. Will let out a breath too.
"Nyssa talk to him."
"Hes unconscious though." Nyssa muttered.
I looked her directly in the eyes. She avoided my gaze.
"Listen Nyssa, I know your worried. Trust me. Do it for him."
She looked down at her injured brother who was breathing raggedly. His features tensed in pain.
She took his hand and held it delicately. Whispering things into his ears. Barely audible as Will continued to work.
He traced his hands over his burnt body, his brain immediately processing what the injury was. He didn't know what he'd do without that power.
As he looked over his crooked body, he could not help but notice how strong he was. Even in the weak condition he was in. He had long nimble fingers that would've done wonders on the piano. His shoulders were broad, and muscles were present everywhere.
Once he had "scanned" him from head to toe, he let out a hard breath.
"Gods." he said. Then immediately regretted it.
Nyssa stopped whispering. "Is he gonna be alright?" her voice filled with rising panic.
Will peeled the bloody latex gloves off his hands and replaced them. "I think so."
Nyssa opened her mouth then closed it. "Can you tell me what's wrong?" she choked.
Will glanced at her carefully. She deserves to know.
"Concussion," Will started with, "Dislocated and sprained shoulder, both arms broken in multiple places, cracked ribs, few vertebrae damage, punctured lung, bruised hips, both femurs broken, fractured tibia, ankle, his hands are fractured in multiple places, multiple lacerations and burns." Will let out his breath.
Nyssa let a few tears run down her cheek and she looked away.
"Hey. Nyssa, listen. He is a fighter. You know that. You know him better than anyone. Everything is temporary. Help me patch him up will you?"
Nyssa didn't look at him but nodded. Sitting up from her seat she took the bandana off her head used if to wipe her tears. Gross. Then awaited instructions.
Together they managed to pop his shoulder back in place without waking him, treat the burns and cuts.
As they were casting him, several other demigods walked in, taking ambrosia, and being treated by Will's siblings. They had probably gotten rid of the dragon.
They wrapped him in plasters and bandages till he was in a full body cast with only his swollen face showing.
Nyssa washed her hands (for like the second time ever) and yawned.
"Go back to the cabin." Will told her without looking away from Jake. "You need rest and I bet your siblings want to know how he is.
Surprisingly, the stubborn Nyssa agreed, kissed her brother then left in the dark.
Jake let out a strangled breath which lead Will to hooking him up with an oxygen tank.
Will sat down in the chair to the bed, and suddenly realized how tired he was.
I'll rest for a little bit. He thought, his eyes already closed.
o0O0o
Jake woke up in pain. Not dull aches, but full aches and shots of pain running up and down his body. He tried to move and get a hold of his surroundings but instead had to stifle a scream.
He immediately stopped moving, and blinked till his surroundings focused.
He was in the infirmary.
Oh man. The dragon.
His arms and legs hung on slings, making him feel like a puppet. He looked down the bed and everything was in a cast.
Which made sense since everything also hurt.
He tried craning his neck, but found he was unable to. Also in a brace. Dang.
He felt something tickle under his nose. He almost tried to touch it then thought better of it.
Ok. From what he could tell, he was in a full cast, keeping him in place, his head was also bandaged, and he had oxygen tubes.
He heard a yawn from the side of him.
"Oh your awake." The person came to view as Will Solace. His blonde hair was unkempt, and his clothes were wrinkled like he slept in them. He probably had.
"What happened." Jake said. Then immediately regretted it. His voice was hoarse, the movement hurt, and started having a coughing fit which was the most painful.
"Shhhhh." Will told him. "Don't talk. You're in the infirmary. They got rid of the dragon for now, but not without injuring you and a few others. They're fine, you are by far the worst."
"Do I get a prize?" Jake asked.
Will scoffed, "shush. And no."
Will poured some nectar into a cup, put a straw in it and demanded him to drink. Which Jake happily did.
The nectar felt cool and good down his throat. And before he knew it he had drained the glass.
Will nodded. "Good. I am preventing you from seeing people for the next couple of days."
"Wha-"
"Shush." Will interrupted. "It's only temporary, plus it'll give you more time to spend with me!"
Will spread open his arms with a quirky grin.
Jake let himself chuckle despite the pain. This is gonna be a long couple of weeks.
Next chapter is way fluffyier this was just an intro Yay? Nay? Kool. R&R!
