DISCLAIMER: I don't actually own Harry Potter; I only own my ideas and my character! 1937….
So, I kind of just wanted to try this idea out. I have no idea if anyone did this kind of story yet or not but it's basically what if Tom Riddle senior had a daughter and she was a wizard? I'm not saying I'm going to continue it but yeah. PM me if you like it or you think I should continue.

My name is Elizabeth Jane Riddle. A terribly common name if you ask me. But I wouldn't call myself plain or common. I am pale and have dark hair and look like my father. Which is perfect because my father is very handsome, or so my mother says. We are rich and at the moment my life is absolutely perfect. Oh, except for one thing. I just found that I am a Witch. A Witch out of all of the things I could have been!
Mother says that she should kick me out of the house for such a disgraceful thing. Father could care less. He thinks that because I'm a girl, I shouldn't have any form of kindness shown on me. Of course my mother does anything he says. I only get a real talk with my mother right before I go to sleep. Upsetting, I know!
Today is the day that I go to Hogwarts and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I mean, I have to start all over and how am I supposed to do that? I have no friends there and my mum and dad aren't going to accept any letters that I send them. What am I supposed to do? Oh, God. I'm crying now. And I never cry! It isn't proper according to mum.

That was the first time I ever heard of Hogwarts. I was so scared, but now it is my only haven in the world. I have grown up since then. Well, by two years. But still, I've grown. I was sorted into the house Slytherin. The best thing about this house is the prefect Tom Riddle. Uncanny coincidence with the last name, huh?
"Hey, Liz, we're going down to the Quidditch match. Are you coming?" my best friend, Charlotte said, making me jump out of my chair. I smoothed down my long dark hair and glared at her.
"Only if you promise not to do that again!" I sniffed, trying to feign anger. She just laughed and pulled me up to my feet and dragged me out of the Common Room. "Charlotte! I never said that I wanted to come!"
"No. But you were thinking it, and that's good enough for me!" Charlotte laughed, gripping my arm harder. I rolled my eyes but giggled. I was excited to go see all of our Slytherins beat the Gryffindors once and for all!
Charlotte suddenly stopped and I collided into her back. Hard. I looked over her shoulder and saw Professor Slughorn talking to Riddle. Charlotte and I exchanged looks and then burst out into laughter. "Girls! What are you laughing at?" Slughorn asked good-naturedly.
"Nothing," I said, taking a few deep breaths to control my laughter.
"But, Professor. Surely they were spying on our conversation," Riddle said with a wink and a dazzling smile. Charlotte sighed and almost fainted. Slughorn laughed along with Riddle and then turned back to us.
"Tom. Why don't you take these girls out to the pitch so they can watch the match?" Slughorn asked with seriousness coming back into his voice. Tom nodded and led us out to the pitch. I was quaking with excitement inside and I could barely walk straight. Charlotte wasn't much better either. I believe it took all of her strength to continue walking upright.

A/N: So there it is. I'm not sure how I feel about it. But you can tell me and that might help! Anyway. That was basically the prelude to the rest of the story….I hope you liked it! R&R!!!
