The Planets Bend
Between Us
By SMYGO4EVA
The mark of the Signer – a mark that make us outcasts, branding us as someone to be feared and making us become monsters, beings to be feared and to be stared at in both awe and terror. The people would never let us have a chance to just be. Staring, watching, and being used, the others would identify us as just creatures.
That is not true.
Akiza, you do have a mark, but not the same one as I have. We are alike, we are connected, and we have something in common, whether you like it or not. It is an unfamiliar subconscious, but it is there. All of the Signers are united by the stain, the stain of what we are all here for. The stains on our arms represent something much more than you can imagine, something that make us stand out.
We are both outcasts, Akiza. I'm a part of the Satellite. Being a Satellite has made someone who is supposedly jeered and mocked because of the differences that are already there. They want to change me for the worst, but I can't allow that to happen. If I did, I would become somebody I'm not and they would toss aside.
Akiza, you possess a special power that connected to your mark, a power that makes people fear you, which makes you both extraordinary and ostracized by everyone. Deep down, you just want to be normal, to be like everybody else, and to be just another face in the crowd. You were consumed by hatred for humanity that you didn't realize how much pain you were in, you never realized how wounded your soul was and you never knew that you wanted someone who would understand.
I understand.
They don't realize that under that phantom-like mask is someone who is pain and doubt over their existence; they don't realize just how beautiful and lovely you are, Akiza. You just have to throw away the mask, and set yourself free.
We are more alike than you think, Akiza. You just have to get rid of the mask and set yourself free from the prison you built for yourself. With you by my side, the planet bend between us and we have a world that needs salvation. We can make a difference I just need you to trust in me and in yourself.
