Xerxes was lying on the ground, coughing up blood into the green grass. Using his chain was getting harder and harder on his body. He has to use it to ward off many people with chains and now his body couldn't keep the chain out any longer. Men swarmed around Break, pointing blades at his head and neck. "You've been a serious thorn in our side hatter! But now you can die!" one of the men shouted. Right before the man can land the first blow on Xerxes, the man's head came clean off. "I'm sorry gentlemen but I can't allow you to do that." A voice came from the back. They all turn to see Vincent with a large smile on his face. Everyone starts to back up but Vincent starts to walk through them, beheading them all as he walked by with the chain, the red queen. Vincent's smile or posture never moved as he walked through, having heads fly off. People tried to run but before they could get far, their heads rolled off their bodies, spewing out blood. "How dare you people cause my Lollipop to hurt himself~" Vincent said, after the last person dropped dead. He kneeled down and picked up Break. "You don't have to fear, love. I'll always try to protect you." Vincent said with the same smile.
… "It's the reason I love him so much." Xerxes would admitted.
Vincent was protective, persistent, caring, and would go to any feet to make the people he cared about happy. Yes, Vincent was a little crazy, but Xerxes loved him for it. Break looked at the bouquet of flowers Vincent had left him as a get well present. Vincent visited Break every day, acting as if he wasn't smiling when he beheaded all those men. Break knew Vincent would do it all again just to keep him happy…
Vincent was walking out in public with Echo. He was minding his own business, looking through the stands of food. By the time him and Echo got back to Pandora everyone familiar except for Reim was gone. He went off to his own room to find a little box on his nightstand with a folded note. "I'm sorry that I couldn't give this to you in person. Pandora sent me out to watch over Oz. I'm sure these will bring out both of your loving eyes. ~ Xerxes Break" the note read. Vincent opened the box. It was a pair of earrings. They weren't much larger then his red ones he normally wore. They were a green stone, with a red stone wrapping around it, like a snake wrapping around a tree. He took out his all red earrings and put the new ones in. " They're wonderful…" Vincent thought to himself out loud, "I'll have to wear them when he's back."
… "That's why I love him so" Vincent could admit.
Xerxes was sweet, but very shy about it. He was playful and sometimes a little rough. He accepted the fact that Vincent was out of the norm, some might even consider crazy, because he was too. Vincent walked to visit Xerxes in bed. He wore the earrings Break gave him that day, just to show how much he appericates him. He opened the door and called softly, "Sugar?" Xerxes sat up and smiled. Vincent had tied his hair back, so he could see he was wearing the earrings. "I never got to tell you…" Vincent started walking over. He cupped one of Break's cheeks and continued, "I love them…" then he leaned down and kissed his lover, "And I love you."
