Chapter 1
Everywhere Yugi looked dead bodies were everywhere strewn around Domino. Slifer's roars overhead and screams echoed around. The world was a sad sight of what it used to be. Yugi felt utter betrayal the pharaoh killed countless of lives; teenagers and the elderly even little toddlers who should have lived a lovely life! Yugi looked behind him after a shattering sound of a crunching twig from behind him. There he was in all his leather glory, his starfish hair shooting upwards with lightning bangs of yellow the tips of his hair looked like they were dipped in crimson paint his eyes matched with blood-red orbs. He had a bright red sword emblazoned with dried blood. He laughed maniacally and was preparing to destroy Yugi, with one clean slip. Yugi screamed. Then Yugi woke up with a start, in his underground facility. He was sweating buckets gasping and trembled shakily and got out of his bed of light blue sheets. Joey came racing in asking what was wrong and that it was that time of the month to go into the daylight to see if there was anything left. Yugi was 22 years old and was in hiding for 3 years since the pharaoh turned evil. No one new why and he wanted to capture Yugi but Yugi got away in time but Anzu did not. Yugi was devastated as his best friend saved his life but he could do nothing in return. As Joey and him trudged through the city they went over rubble and burnt cars. Finding a ratty coat; they headed back but stopped in their tracks as they swerved around patrol was marching there way and quickly. "We won't make it, lets just leg it!" Joey called. They ran to the alleys and twisted and turned trying to lose patrol. Finally they lost them. "If they inform the pharaoh we will be as good as dead," Yugi whispered to Joey as they stopped to gather their breath.
" I was watching you already little one," whispered someone in Yugi's ear. Yugi gasped and turned around….
