"Oh come on. Surely you've all seen the present at the top of the bag. Perfectly wrapped with a bow. All the others are slapdash at best. Must be someone special then. Shade of red echoes the lipstick. Either a subconscious association or one that she's deliberately trying to encourage. Either way, Miss Hooper has love on her mind. The fact that she's serious about him is clear from the fact that she's giving him a gift at all. That all suggests long-term hopes, however forlorn. And that she's seeing him tonight is evident from the make-up and what she's wearing. Obviously trying to compensate for the size of her mouth and breasts…"

Molly felt enraged the moment she heard Sherlock stop with his 'deduction' about her Christmas gift. She sometimes wondered why she even fell in love with that man. This was one of those moments. She had taken so much of effort to get the gift for him, hoping he would understand her feelings. But nothing like that had happened. First of all, Sherlock had thought she had got a new boyfriend. And second, he didn't even bother to look at the present properly. She felt conflicted between her anger towards him and the love she had for him. She always thought of the day when Sherlock would realize that she loved him. She didn't care if he didn't love her, but she just wanted him to know about her feelings for him. Molly thought that this would happen today. Well, at least he came to know the reason behind all the meticulous packing and her appearance. If only he had seen it that it was for him…

Molly really didn't know what to say. After what seemed an eternity, she said," You always say such horrible things. Every time. Always. Always..." Her heart broke to see Sherlock's forlorn expression, but then, she was the one who got insulted. She really wished none of this would have happened. It really felt like the Worst Christmas Ever.

"I am sorry, forgive me. Merry Christmas, Molly Hooper.", she heard Sherlock say. And before she could say anything, she felt the touch of his warm lips on her cheek.

It was definitely a Merry Christmas for her.
