Two Brothers

Two brothers lived in a small town

In a country hard at war

Though for a long time their father had been gone

He was an alchemist, and they wanted to know more

Human kind cannot gain anything

Without first giving something in return

The dead cannot return to the living

And we still have much to learn

A few years later, their mother died

And the boys were filled with dread

Then one said, as the other cried

"Let bring her back from the dead!"

Human kind cannot gain anything

Without first giving something in return

The dead cannot return to the living

And we still have much to learn

So the brothers tried to bring back their mom

They thought they knew the price

But they underestimated alchemy's great law

And failed, making too great a sacrifice

Human kind cannot gain anything

Without first giving something in return

The dead cannot return to the living

And we still have much to learn

Alchemy can turn lead to gold

Or at least, that's what is said

But for the price of what is sold

Your better off with the lead
