GLaDOS laughed quietly as she watched the scientist run. She had become bored of turrets and decided to do something different.
She had gotten the idea for sheep after finding a scientist reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Phillip K. Dick, which gave her the idea of making android sheep.
They were the same color scheme as the turrets, but they shot electricity instead of bullets. It was highly amusing to watch them run off edges or making particularly difficult portal choices in order to escape the sheep's rather limited range.
Yeah, plot bunny attacks.
GLaDOS getting bored is never a good thing.
