Awhile
A/N: It's the reunion. Written a bit differently. I don't know how it'll go.
I don't designate sections, but basically it's Grissom's thoughts, Sara's thoughts…etc. etc…
Disclaimer: Don't own them, wish I did.
You smell like smoke, dirt, tears, and anger.
Hurt and bitterness seep from your pores.
Fear and doubt are your scent.
You bear the aroma of pain.
I have not seen you in six months. It's been awhile.
I've never smelled anything better.
You look like death warmed over.
Little better than some of the corpses we've seen.
Your hair is unkempt, your beard unshaven.
Dark circles lay beneath your eyes.
You've lost weight and there is a dullness to your once bright eyes.
I have not seen you in six months. It's been a while.
I've never seen anything better.
I take your hand tentatively, praying that you are not a figment of my imagination.
When my hand reaches yours I am on fire. Your touch ignites me.
I want desperately to make up for lost time. It's been too long.
You take my hand and lead me to the master bathroom.
When you remove my clothing you are gentler than you are with your bugs.
I want so badly to make everything up to you. It's been too long.
The water washes over us and I can think of nothing but your smile.
It but a few intimate moments the color has returned to your cheeks, and your smile is radiant.
I don't think I've seen you really smile like that for a while.
The water washes away the last remains of my journey and I can't help but notice your eyes.
The clouds have left your eyes and I can see once more the deep oceans they hold.
I haven't seen your eyes sparkle like that for a while.
As we lay here silently I am lost for words.
You're back.
I feel alive again.
If you'll allow me to love you, to hold you, to know you—I know we'll make it.
I feel complete again just having your arms around me.
I'm back.
My heart is whole again.
If you'll forgive me and just love me, hold me, really know me—I know we'll make it.
A shower was just what we needed.
You smell of lavender, honey, ambrosia, and mint.
Joy and delight seep from your pores.
Boldness and confidence are your scent.
You bear the aroma of triumph.
It's been awhile, but now we have forever.
A shower did you good.
You look more alive.
More handsome than I remember.
Your curls drying without product, your beard freshly shaven.
Your eyes are brighter.
Your body, more slender and toned, is perfect and there is a twinkle in your eyes.
It's been awhile, but now we have forever.

A/N: Please review, I need all the encouragement I can get.
