A/N I have to dedicate the idea of this story to my mom. Since I don't have a (constant) father figure I have this conversation with my mom a lot… So I thought it would be a good father daughter moment between Danny and Lucy… Enjoy!

The Messer's were just a normal family. They had their ups and their downs. Today was defiantly a down day. Danny came in to his apartment he shared with his wife and his daughter to them yelling at each other.

Even though he knew he was not the dominate one in this relationship he knew that he had the upper hand when it came to fights because Lindsay and Lucy knew he hated them. "Whoa!" he shouted silencing them both "Whats going on?"

Both Lindsay and Lucy started yelling. "One at a time! Lindsay come with me." he pulled Lindsay aside to talk to her.

"Lucy won't do her chores. I can't be doing this right now." Lindsay started to rub her 7 month pregnant belly.

Danny looked down at her belly and willingly said "Ok I'll do them." Instantly Lindsay said "No. She's 15 she needs to learn responsibility." "Ok I'll talk to her."

Danny came out and told Lucy to get ready for a walk… 20 minuets later him and Lucy were on a bench in Central Park.

"Whats going on with you and your mom?" Danny started.

"I'm 15 I have better things to do then chores." she huffed.

"Lucy you have to help your mom right now."

"I know. I'll do them later I don't understand why I have to do them when moms says."

"Sometimes things can't be put off. Your mom is teaching you responsibility. Your mom grew up on a farm she had to work everyday, she never had things handed to her. I'm sure you've heard your mother talk about her friends being murdered. She had to go threw a hard time at 16 that most people never experience. She had to work hard to get to where she is today. She wants you to know that. One day you won't need us because of how we taught you." Danny sighed and took out his wallet while Lucy just stared at him.

"What happen to this girl?" he said pointing to a picture of Lucy when she was 4.

"She grew up. And she will be the best young lady because of how her parents taught her." Lucy grabbed her father's arm a curled up into his side.

Danny sighed "She grew up." he said sadly.

"No matter what, even when I'm 30 with kids of my own I'll always need my mommy and daddy." Lucy smiled proudly she stopped the "mommy" and "daddy" stuff a long time ago but she knew her dad would love hearing that.

Danny smiled and put his cheek on the top of Lucy's head. "I love you. My little princess."

Lucy again smiled "I love you too, Daddy. But can you please not call your little princess your princess is just fine."

"Oh god. Your going to be just like your mother…"
