Albedo sat back in a large chair, holding a picture of Rubedo, Nigredo, and himself when they were younger. A sigh escaping his lips, he set the picture aside and picked up his mug of hot chocolate. He looked over at his tiny Christmas tree, devoid of decorations, which caused his melancholy to deepen.
No one should be alone for Christmas.
A rap at the door broke him out of his reverie and the shock caused him to spill the hot chocolate onto himself. Cursing, he put the mug aside and stood up, stalking over to the door while plotting murder. He threw the door open and stared in shock at the sight that greeted him.
Caanan and chaos were carrying presents, Rubedo had Christmas decorations, and Nigredo carried bags of unidentified objects. Smiling cheerfully, Rubedo said something in greeting and pushed him aside, walking in. the other three walked inside after him and Nigredo closed the door.
"Hey, Albedo, chaos is gonna go check out your kitchen, k?" Rubedo asked and Albedo nodded dumbly.
"I'll get more hot chocolate brewing." chaos smiled as he walked out of the room. While Rubedo and Caanan began to argue about where the decorations should go, Nigredo approached Albedo.
"Are you going to wear that stained shirt all night?" the dark-haired man asked, grinning like he did when they were younger.
"Of course not." Albedo snapped, walking to his room and changing. It was when he was walking back to the living room that everything sunk in.
They were going to spend Christmas with him!
Fin
