Authors Note: Hey guys! Just wanted to fill you in on some things before you start reading.
First- this is my version of Vampire Academy.
Second- this is a Rose/Stan fanfiction. If you have a problem with that then don't read it.
Third- Stan is 24 years old, (like Dimitri) and still her teacher. Rose is the same age as she was in Vampire Academy. Changing from kind of OC to very OC.

Prologue
I was sitting on the Academy's private jet in the very back as Lissa was brought to the front. I guess they're worried we'll come up with an escape plan and hightail it out of here if we were left alone. I was pissed that we were caught, but some part of me was happy to be going back to the academy.
Not having to stay up all hours of the night to watch out for strigoi and guardians from St. Vlads was going to be a big relief. Not to mention I won't be lightheaded from the every other day feedings with Lissa.
I also miss training. It has always been my best class and it really helps to get out my anger. I have never really liked regular classes; I've always thought they were to boring and uneventful.
I do miss my teachers though. Even if they think i'm the devil reincarnated and have come to destroy their school and make them all suffer, I still have a lot of respect for them. I just don't always know how to show it. Maybe I can change that.
I was pulled form my thoughts when I saw the Belikov guy walking up from where Lissa was sitting to come sit by me.
His height is even more startling sitting down than standing up. He was a really tall guy; six-six to six-seven would be my guess. Yet how he managed to be that tall and still silent and graceful was beyond me.
"So you're the Rose Hathaway." His tone suggested he had heard many stories about me and I assume they weren't of my best moments. "What a great honor it is to meet you."
I kept silent, already my dislike for him growing more and more each passing second. I was surprised that after I didn't answer his sarcastic façade disappeared. Know doubt from what he's heard of me he was expecting to get a bitch fit out of me. Well he won't be anytime soon, I thought. He was silent for so long that I thought he had left while I was thinking, so when he spoke again I was startled.
"Why did you do it? Why run away from the academy?"
He sounded frustrated that he couldn't figure out the answer himself. I didn't plan on answering but the words poured out of my mouth before I could stop them.
"Because I had to protect her."
"Isn't that her guardians job?" He replied, his tone merely curious. I didn't answer back this time.
***
After a long, boring three-hour flight and an agonizing two-hour drive we finally managed to arrive at St. Vladimir's Academy.
When we passed through the big iron gates and came into view of the school I couldn't stop the feeling you get when you come home after a long time of being gone. It looked the same as I had remembered it. Huge, gothic, and beautiful.
I didn't say anything on a way up to the building or even when we entered into the dining hall where everyone sat frozen with shock shown on all their faces. We walked through the halls and up the spiraling staircase up to Kirova's office.
I could hear voices coming from the other side of the door but they went silent as soon as we entered. Every pair of eyes in the room looked in our direction. Or more specifically in my direction. I didn't look around the room, just stared straight ahead at Kirova with a blank expression. I counted at least six guardians in the room from my periphrial vison.
Let the fun begin.
R&R peeps. The green button is calling to you and you know it. :-P
