Checkmate
The blond raised an eyebrow in confusion as his blue eyes narrowed in with the elongated ears, each of which ended in a sharp point,making him look simply ridiculous.
"Well",I asked, drawing the word out, "do you want to play chess or not?"
"Just chess? No weird ulterior motive, or some kind of innuendo I'm not catching?"
He stiffened under my smirk."I have no idea what your speaking of."
"Liar, what about the time you asked me to go swimming, but when I-"
"I gave your tunic back, didn't I?"
"Yeah, the next day!"
"There isn't any way for me to take it this time, now is there?"
"Well-"
"And I doubt you would agree to a bet to consumate our relationship-"
"Since when do we have-"
"Stop interrupting"
"But you...", a sigh escaped him, "yes ma'am"
So we sat down and played a game of chess, the Hylian showing remarkable skill and besting me twice.
"Not bad, Hero."
His face lit up in mock surprise"Why thank you, Mrs. Valentine"
"Of course, I'm better"
He let a rare smirk grace his features "Prove it."
