Summary: In one shot of Batman's thoughts of Nyssa

Bright moonlight would spill upon her sleeping form, turning the midnight black hair into silver dancing in their dark waters, her caramel colored face to the purest white. The shadow of her delicate lashes would be cast upon her shapely cheeks-dark, spiky shadows against the defined cheekbones. Now she was like lilly frozen in its prime. Still pristine white, still beautiful, but cold and passionate. If indeed she was a flower, he thought, you might cut yourself on its petals.

His lover, slender and deadly as the tempered steel blade. For she was deadly, he had seen her kill when she thought no one else saw her. He had seen the way her slender white hands gripped the hilt of her sword with the strenght of a vise, the way the bright steel flashed like molten gold and silver in the sunlight, how she wove a dance of death in still, blue poppy-smelling air.

He allowed his mind to wander, picturing Nyssa galloping across the starlit sands on her horse, her raven hair streaming out behind her like the waves on the ocean had never seen, her dress as red as blood,
gleaming in the light of a moon.

His dream Nyss never spoke to him. She stood, silent in his arms, looking at him, with her eyes filled with understanding and love. And though he might despair that she would never be his, for all he understood her and loved her as he was sure no one else would, he could and would wait.
And he knew that no matter what she said to him during their meetings,
at night he could alwasy return to the embrace of his goddess, his Nyssa.
the Daughter of Demon.
