It's All Right
By Crona
My ears are assaulted with the lies and violence of this world I live in
I hear people who are sad, people who are angry, and people who torture those weaker than them
It hurts me, as it makes me bleed black straight through this thin skin of mine
It hurts
But it's alright.
My eyes are assaulted with the lies and violence of this world I live in
I see the lifeblood of so many good people trickle down the gutter, efforts and life wasted
Some at my own hands
It hurts me, as I watch people laugh while others take their last breath
As I remember when I was like that
It hurts
But it's alright.
My skin is assaulted with the many blows and scratches offered by this world I live in
I feel people crying, their hearts bleeding, and I feel those who stamp on these broken hearts and smile
It hurts me, as I feel these people shatter and know I could not stop it
It hurts
But it's alright.
A lack of tolerance is what drives this world I live in
A deadly fear of change is what drives this world I live in
A person in power's desire for power is what drives this world I live in
A lack of sympathy is what drives this world I live in
My existence is assaulted with everything this strange place has to offer
To change myself, and to please the people around me
I'll kill this part of me
It won't take very long, and then you will be so happy!
It hurts, it hurts very bad
But it's alright.
