"…Happy…Birthday?" Lexaeus mumbled curiously, looking at the wrapped present that was dropped in his lap by Axel. The red head just shrugged, walking away.
"I don't know, but Xemnas said it was your birthday…or something," Axel said, motioning with his hand as he walked out the room. Lexaeus continued staring at the box, thinking quietly. 'Do nobodies have birthdays? Or do they share the same birthday as their other? And when was my other's birthday?' It's been so long since Lexaeus was Aeleus, way too long.
Number V began to unwrap the gift, pulling off the bright red wrapping paper neatly into a pile on his desk. A meteorite. The strong built man snorted to himself, opening the little card that came with it.
'Xemnas said you liked rocks…so here. From Axel' it read, Lexaeus snorted again and closed the piece of paper. He held the tiny meteorite to eye level looking at it. Yes, now he remembered his birthday. The fifth day of the fifth month. He remembered working on how the worlds affected a heartless's physical form.
"SURPRISE!" the cry almost made Aeleus jump three feet. The strong built man turned to face his colleagues and his mentor. Braig smirked, stuffing a present in his arms. "You sure put me in a pickle, I looked all over for this book." Aeleus unwrapped it, looking at a large book on geographic land features.
"Here," Ienzo said, the youngest apprentice handed Aeleus a large rubix cube. Aeleus stared at it before setting it on his desk along with his book. "I thought you might try to solve rubix cubes, they're really fun you know. It's all the matter of twisting and-"
"Tell him about it after we give him our presents squirt." Braig said. The others gave Aeleus their gifts. A jar of dirt from Dilan (for decoration, he guessed), Even gave him a new set of beakers, a meteorite from Xehanort (it was rather funny, Xehanort spent hours looking for it in a swamp where he watched it land), and Sea-Salt ice-cream from Ansem the Wise (typical). Then the others simply left for their own studies, leaving the large male to his own. Though new objects sat on the desk, a rather happy feeling flowing through the apprentice.
Lexaeus smiled softly, placing the meteorite on his desk. The dark stone sticking out from the abundant white of his room in Castle Oblivion. Happy Birthday.
