Sweetness.

That's all there is, when they're together. Away from the court's prying eyes, when Rosencrantz can take Guildenstern's hand and kiss him gently on the cheek. When Guildenstern can smile softly and light up Rosencrantz's world all at once. And it's not as strange as they thought it would be- no, for them, it's the most natural thing in the world. They could sit silently until the end of everything, or one of them could giggle quietly and break the silence. It's characteristic of them, though, this silence, because they know each other too well.

And when they're like this- so finely tuned- it's when Guildenstern can take Rosencrantz's face in his hands and kiss his mouth, tentatively still, as if every touch is their first, and Rosencrantz can return every feeling, every action, and taste chocolate in Guildenstern's mouth. It's this sweetness that's kept them together, this addictive flavor neither of them could ever live without.

It's when they can laugh at the world because they'll be young forever.
