He's trying his best to contain the smirk on his face once they're out of Breadstix for the night. He's slow as he walks back to his truck, keeping an eye on her from the corner of his way.

She's standing by the curb, waving everyone off as she assures them that her ride's on the way. It's not until everyone's in their cars and driving off that she rushes to his truck, hopping in the passenger's side.

"They gone?" he asks, looking around briefly before turning the ignition on to combat the cold.

"Mhm," she answers. She reaches into her pocket then, pulling out a silver band. She places it on her left hand's ring finger before looking up, seeing he had done the same.

He quickly leans over then, pressing a rough kiss to her lips before he pulls away with a wink. The truck's thrown into drive soon after as the two of them exit the parking lot.

"It's nice not having to jump trains for a week, babe," he smiles. His hand reaches over for hers. Bringing it up to his lips, he presses a kiss to the back of it before driving off.

He stops the truck a few blocks away from his house. It's not long before their seatbelts are on and she's straddling his lap.

"You should let me pack next time," he says as she leans forward and kisses him. He'll never get enough of that.

"Why?" she mumbles against his lips. It still takes him a bit to get used to the ring on his finger. His constant on and off while people are coming and going has been successful, but he worries he'll slip sometime soon.

"Because we matched. People who haven't seen each other in months don't coordinate colors."

She smiles against his lips. "I'm sorry if I got excited to spend time with my husband. Uninterrupted time."

Just hearing that phrase come from her lips makes him happier than he's been in a while. It takes everything in him not to have his way with her in his truck right now.

Good news is, they manage to sneak up to his room without his mother detecting her presence. Sarah was bribed off earlier with twenty bucks to keep her mouth shut about Quinn appearing every so often and to make sure his mom avoided his room at all costs.

Bad news is…. Well, there is no bad news, really. Once they're up in his room and the television's safely at a high volume downstairs, they're back to their usual method of greeting one another after days apart.

His arm's wrapped around her once they're done, rings looking completely normal on their hands. As if they were always meant to be there.

"You mean to tell me I get a whole week of this?" he asks, smirk on his face as he presses kisses to her bare shoulder.

She nods in response, turning on her back before pressing her lips to his. "Are you going to tell me why Jake was looking at me earlier like he knew something I didn't?"

He shrugs. "I might have told him about us…"

"Puck!"

He laughs. "Calm down. He's not plannin' on tellin' anyone, really. Secret's safe with him."

She glances over at his alarm clock. "I have to be home soon."

He groans, hiding his face in the crook of her neck.

"We have a whole week," she reminds him. "I'll keep my window open the whole time."

Not even the opened window makes up for what they have to endure during Thanksgiving.
